Default Brazilian Invents Luminescent Water-Bottle Lightbulbs

Anyone have instructions on how to make these. I'm having a hard time believing this works, so I have to try it myself. With this invention I'm sure someone could further advance it to a self sustaining system. Wow, as bright as a 60 watt bulb.

From what I can tell, I know you need a 2 liter plastic bottle, water, a few drops of clorox, and sunlight. I would love to find the exact instructions. If anyone comes across the How To please post it here.

I suspect it is a hoax. If not then they DO have something besides H2O in the drinking water. Still I have cleaned out 2 liter bottles before with bleach and left in the sun to help clean any mold or other junk and they have never glowed in the least. There was a video not too long ago about mixing something (baking soda?) in a bottle of mountain dew and it glowed.

Not to mention if that WAS real then it would be on every news channel front and center. It would be a huge breakthrough.

It shouldn't be too hard, as long as your willing to cut holes in your roof.
It's the same as a SunTube skylight.

Look Closer at the video the tops of the water bottles are exposed to sunlight, IE right through the tin roofs. that seems to be where the light is coming from. I dont think they work at night. they are similar to a skylight with reflective mirrors surrounding it. the Bleach is just to keep algae from forming in the bottles.
    A token for your thoughts???

I think you're right about that...

We would look a little funny to the neighbors if we started cutting holes in our roofs and putting water bottles in it anyway. I'm kind of a hillbilly, and even I wouldn't do that!

Almost all of my bulbs are CFL, except for the ones in my fan with the dimmer since they don't work in there. Every dollar I save on lighting, I spend running my Pachi's.
