    Default Simple Indiana light question...

Can anyone tell me if the little clear plastic tikki statue (the one under the I in "Indiana Jones" is supposed to light up? I can see yellow kind of below and around that area, but the tikki isn't lighting and I am not sure if it should.

    Thanks alot!

Well mine doesn't light up certainly in normal play. I have played it for around an hour & it hasn't lite up. You will notice that near the bottom of the inca is a Red plastic lever which opens when, after a fever you are on 100 chance round. Maybe it lights up then, if at all.

Just a stab here... but when you power up the machine, shouldn't all the lights on the cell (that will light) light up, or does it depend on the cell?

That is our general impression but I'm not sure anyone can say it's an absolute.

Well I played it last night and had the red wing come down but it still didn't light up... I tried to look at the back but if there is a bulb its pretty far inside the machine and I didn't want to break something trying to get to it if it's even there!

I checked out every video I could find online (including from some vendors) and not once did I see the tiki guy lit up. I will be getting my new (New Old Stock) Indy cell from Arby on Tuesday. I could check it out then, but I think that it doesn't light up. Have you tried opening up the back to look for a socket for a light? If no socket, then no light, right? Just a thought, but take it with a grain of salt since I don't have this machine yet.

The Chance button on initial power up only cycles through the Famous "Roller Coaster" frame bulbs. It does not test the cell bulbs.

For my 2 cents I have never seen the Tiki guy light up other then the "splash of color from the "I" in Indiana at the top and the yellow splash of light at the bottom behind the gold emblem.

I took a good look at the whole assembly which is quite deep The ball passes through it from the wing door toward the front of the assembly. I used a REALLY BRIGHT LED flash light and a magnifine glass to look at the cell wall behind it. I did not see any LED's there.

I tried to look for a bulb or a socket (thought maybe a bulb was missing) but did not see one.

Oh well I was just curious because it seemed like it would look better lit up once in a while!!

One other question, what is everyone running for a power supply on this one (How many Amps)?? I felt mine the other day during a fever and it was pretty darn hot!! I am thinking about putting one of Gaku's big beefy units in there (I just need to do some measuring to make sure I can fit it!

Thanks for the tikki help and the power supply in advance

Mine came with an 8 amp. Even with that size it still does get quite warm to the point of hot during back to back Fevers. The Star Wars has a 7 amp with the same issues but I have never had a problem with them cutting out during play. What do you have in it now?

I just swapped out my Julie cell and put my brand new (still in factory shrink wrap until then) Indiana Jones in. I played for a while and it never lit up, and I never saw any place that any lights could be in there.

Actually mine only has a 4 amp in it (Samarai slots must have gotten skimpy on their supplies)

Everything seems to run fine, etc. so maybe their is nothing to worry about I dunno, it just seemed small to me for all those electronics in there.

PS I finally bought a table saw in case I feel the need to build any more pachinko cabinets the easy way vs my skill saw and jigsaw!!! This baby is a monster at 300 lbs but at least it is on a caster system!

Its always nice to have a good excuse to buy power tools

the transformers from all of my machines from Samarislots all work just fine, they never really get to hot, even after fevers.
