    Default Star Wars Claws, Not allways when gates?

    Sorry about the ignorance but i have been looking on the boards and i really cant find the answer to this>

    When balls pass through the gate for the claws the gates has and x and an o with 4 leds. They light in seccession when balls pass. But claws do not open. Even really quick like. In fever they did open for just about a second off and on, which i think is correct. And i saw them open once in normal mode very quickly.

    I love pinballs , but they come with guides , schematics, such ...makes it eaiser.

    The 'O' means good, the 'X' means bad, the other led's are your bank of X/O spins. If it comes up 'O', the gate is supposed to open, if 'X', try again!

    The factory webpages about vicky chance give a very detailed flash presentation on how the flippers/claws function.

    When you go into a certain mode after a fever, like the 100 chance mode, then the flippers open a lot more and even stay open longer.
    With Star Wars it is mainly then when the flippers function, you hardly see them working during normal play.
    Other games open up the flippers shortly during normal play, just keep playing and then you will understand your game more and more the more you play it.

    When you get into a mode where you need to shoot the fighters and then shoot darth vader in his shop, there i find the function of the chance button not so to the point, because when you think you hit him you still miss.
    The whole shoot the fighters mode is something i still do not get, maybe i am doing something wrong.
    Had darth vader only once shot down and even forgot what happens then....
    I will be happy when my new games come in.
    Guess i will have more fun with the Jacky Chan machine then with my star wars.......

    I'm still trying to figure out what the LED display is during fever mode.

    It usually displays a double dash {--} but when my machine fevered 13 times last Saturday I saw, P1, E3, EP, P0, IE, AF, 0E, etc. I should have written them all down, but it was in public play at a computer gaming party so I didn't keep good tabs.

    I have never seen the jaws open other than in fever mode or in the enhanced mode the machine was in that day.

    I assume it was some enhanced mode... the power couplers at the bottom of the screen... the sides turned red and then sometimes turned blue and the blue had a countdown from 99 in the right corner. Not sure what all that was about though... but until they went from red or blue BACK to the standard gold... the jaws opened very frequently!!!

    That's just a technical way to determine what fever your in.

    Were the numbers 111,333,555,777 when the sides were red and 222,444,666,888 when blue?

    Probably the most asked question after 'Why have my volume controls blown up'. And I'm guilty of asking it myself.

    If you watch the X-O sequence you will notice that, outside of fever, the LED stops on X almost ALL the time. Subsequently, the claws on Star Wars ,outside of fever, hardly EVER open. As long as you have seen them open just once shows that they work.

    Star Wars seems to particularly tight on random claw opening. Of course in fever/chance modes it's a different story.
