Purchased an Evangelion 8 It starts by showing High Scores by players and than moves to an ova screen with selections--A TOOL-- A LOCK---?! --an X---and several others, Plus an EXIT at the top left. What do I choose to begin the game????? Got it 2 hours ago.

You need to start shooting balls... If you're getting to a menu, you're hitting a button first. Even then, just start shooting... I think that will knock it out of the menu modes.

Thanks, This is my first completely non-English machine--Most others had a bit of English to help as a guide. Thanks again it seems to begin when shooting first.

New Eva 8----how do I move it to EXTREME MODE or to AVERAGE MODE---Just got it today, and I AM LOST!!! What do I press or switch modes---Any other Eva 8 helpful hints are appreciated!!!

Hmm... if I remember correctly, it gives you that choice after you make a full jackpot. SO - after its done doing its thing, it asks you if you want to do the high-luck round afterwords (sometimes, not all the time?) in extreme or average. And you may need to set up an account in Sanyo "Pawapachi", get the "Pawakomi" app, etc. Then I know it lets you customize other stuff in those incomprehensible menus you were talking about before.

Sorry I can't be of more help... it honestly took me forever to get the whole account set up. Needed to provide japan email address (yahoo.jp!), phone number and address (Koshien Stadium, Osaka.. ).
