Star Wars SUPER Compact? WTF?!!

It's a bird....it's a plane....no...it's SW SUPER Compact!!

(Well...ya got your basic, your economy, and then your really stripped down model. Batteries not included)

There are tons of them on Yahoo Japan. I even saw one auction where they are selling 3 pachinko balls for 999 yen. That is one that I have yet to figure out.

Like Rob said, I guess some apartments over in Japan are like one room and a small one at that. This way they can still have the video screen and surrounding lights whenever they want.

well, I have one off yahoo japan that looks like the top half of the machine.
All it does is play the video spins and when it hir reaches or three of a kind, goes into the bonus rounds. All lights and sounds, no balls or or messing around. Just puch the button and watch it spin.
Why . . . . . got it cheap for cell parts, but haven't needed them yet. It is kind of cool. I post picture tomorrow, it is down stairs.

Well, I don't know...This one at least makes some sense -- it's the compact version, not the super compact. It looks like the complete cell, mounted and converted to run auto mode. (a no balls auto mode) The last one went for $102.53 + $49-$149 shipping (depending on which shipping option you choose.) Actually, if he could do the same setup with Spidey I'd think about it for Paula's grandson.

He's selling the full Star Wars (cyclic) for $289 Buy It Now price, but shipping to US is $339. Canada and Europe can get shipping for $139 but that's for a 28-60 day timeframe. The $339 is for 3-5 days. (But for Europe it's $399.)

I don't really understand the apprehension with the tabletop machines, as they are called in Japanese （卓上台, because it's either this or the cel and ROM gets destroyed and/or recycled.

I don't think apprehension has anything to do with it. Aesthetics would be more like it. I personally think the super compact looks like a POS, even as a novelty item, with no semblance whatsoever to the original pachinko machine or concept. The compact model, on the other hand, has some potential.

Up top you said you got that from Yahoo Japan. Did it come exactly the way it appears in the photos, or did you modify it? (i.e. add the transformer, the wood base, etc.) Also, is it stable as is, with no feet, or would you plan on adding feet if you ever decided to sell it?

I would think Master Arby made the whole wooden case by hand,

the bottom is wider, so I think it's pretty stable.
