    Default Considering two 'last' machines...

So far, I've got 4 machines in my room, 3 x Pachislo and 1 x Pachinko.

I'm considering getting one more of each, making 4 x Pachislos and 2 x Pachinkos.

With the Pachislos, I currently own a Yamasa EL-Vision model, a Sammy with an LED Dot Matrix, and a NET with a 7" Widescreen LCD.

I am considering a model with a colour LCD 'over the reels' - 3 models that spring to mind are Hanabi Hyakkei, Beast Sapp, and Sinbad Adventure. Could anyone recommend / warn me about any of the above, or any other 'LCD over the reel' type machines? Out of these I'd probably lean towards the Hanabi.

Similarly with the Pachinko - I have an LOTR by Sankyo. Lovely machine, but a bit boring at times - took forever to get a FEVER round earlier, and while I like the LOTR theme, I'd like something a bit more 'Japanese'.

So, can anyone recommend a good Pachinko, which has a good 'Japanese' theme? I'm looking at the cheaper end of the market - something LOTR value or below - as theme / playability is more important than age.

    Any replies would be fantastic

Any three of those would be fine for a pachislo. The Sakura is suppose to be a nice Japanese pachinko.

You might consider a Monkey Magic, if you can find one. Same manufacturer as the other pachis you mentioned (Eleco/Aruze). They are usually less expensive (why I don't know), yet have a lot of variety in gameplay. It has a fairly Japanese theme, besides a catchy bonus round song that's in English. I saw one on ebay last week for pickup only...was it VGC???. Gaku had some several months ago and lists them as sold out, but you can send him an email and ask.

I haven't played a Beast Sapp before, but the Hanabi is also a nice machine. The Sinbad Adv is arguably the best of these 4, but generally costs the most. Most of the recommended vendors here have them. You can also pick them up on ebay...I've seen many Sinbads up for auction lately.

Keep in mind, these LCDs don't usually show that much over the reels....not as much as say a Neo Pharoah Zetz. Usually it's a special flashing or highlight during a spin or during bonus round. Sometimes a full screen graphic, including over the reels, is shown.

You can't go wrong with any of these machines.

That depends entriely on your spouse, satisfaction level and disposable income potential.

If you've figured out a way to use someone else's disposable income, that's fantastic.

You could start one of those late night info-mercials..

Scene: Unseen person interviewing an ugly fat guy sitting next to a gorgeous model with that deer in the headlights look on her face, assumption, it's his wife. The backdrop being a large pool and a 10,000 sq ft home. Sipping adult beverages with little umbrellas in them.

UFG: We used to live out of shopping carts until we saw this commecial late at night through the glass at Howards Hardware. We used our latest stolen credit card and agreed to pay $49.95 for six months. Best thing we ever bought with someone esle's money.

Now we're spending $40,000 a month of someone else's disposable income but the difference is, it's all legal. I highly recommend the "someone else's disposable income" method, look what it got me!

If you're deciding between Sapp and Sinbad go with the Sinbad. I own both these machines and Sapp just doesn't sit well with me from a fun side of things. Both machines are cosmetically the same but the theme of Sinbad is just way better. Some of Sapp modes are downright scary...like the eating contest and such. Sinbad feels more like an adventure while you play. Opening chests, killing monsters, rotating tiki heads, collecting gems, etc.
