Based on what Rupan here says about it I would say that isn't a bad deal at all. Rupan is this the same one you been going on about ?
I would insist on the key tho as I believe you will need it if you wallmount it. Also the 400 balls is not enuff balls. Get at least another 1000 as soon as you can.

It does look nice and if this keeps up I may be forced into looking into one of those fish pachinkos

i asked if it came with a key, and they said,"
Key is not necessary. It has a factory installed latch to open the front. "

    anyone know if that's true?

No, unless they mean their own factory.

Anyway, that one is the second in the series and, though not the best, is very good and especially recommended for beginners.

For pachinko, there are four official machines and for pachislo, two. There are also some minor offshoots of this machine (CR Wan wan paradise, Sea Legend, etc.)

There are literally tons of imitators, this series is easily the most influential in modern pachinko.

If you wall mount using the case that most people use you will need a key as the latch they talk about is accessible only from the back of the machine. However ,I have seen somewhere a wall mount case that allows you to swing the entire machine out(and everything remains stable) from the main frame that is securely attached to the wall. Anyone have that type of frame or info where to get one like that?

The Game Room Cabinets that I use have a 3" hole made in the side to allow the owner to reach in and open the machine up. I don't use that hole much and have just modified the front locks via Arby's mod to open with a small screwdriver when needed.

Arby's lock mod is great! (and super easy to do)

You don't need a key, just a small flathead screwdriver. I did 2 locks in about 15 mins.
