Default Metal Slug and Arakind Machines

I did a search in the forums for info on these two machines, but didn't find anything except the video of Metal Slug BB. Can anyone give me more specifics on either of them?

Howdy! "Arakind" is how Pachinko_Pallace spells "Arra King." I don't know how those people manage sometimes. Anyway, there's a thread about Arra King here:

    http://www.pachitalk.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=841

I just bought one and I can tell you, it's a fun machine to play. There's only 2 of us here that I know of that have Arra King, and we haven't quite figured out all of the features and game play.

There is also a post in the Pachislo Game Museum right here on PachiTalk.
So, is this place great or what?

I would have had one, but I got out-sniped 2 weeks ago on ebay by $2.50.

    Geez...I, uh...well...

I neglected to check the bidder's list before I jumped in there with 5 sec. to go. Enthusiasm got the better of me.

I wouldn't have intentionally done that to a member of the forum. Your name would have been recognizable if I had checked the list. Con apologencia, amigo.

    So I hear, luckydog.

There were a couple of those that went for less or very close to what I paid. Only the ones from Grandview are selling for a lot higher ($153 - $227). Go figure.

No biggie. I will get one soon enough, plus this way I get to hear about your review of it. Keep us posted on the "Pachinko Play" aspect of it.

As large as the forum membership is and with various members discussing the auctions and discussing the best slots, etc., you are almost bound to bump into other members when bidding. It's just the way it is.

    I'll do that for sure!

Slotter, as an astute observer and participant in the Pachislo-holic condition, summed it all up very well.

I don't think anyone cares if someone from here outbids them - - - well, they care, but they're not upset. That's just the way it is, sometimes you win and sometimes you don't.

My technique for not feeling guilty when I win is to place all my bids with an automatic sniper program. I type in my bid when the listing first shows up and then forget about it. I pay no attention to who bids or what they bid. If I win I don't know who I beat, and if I lose I don't pay any attention to who beat me.

    Default Arra King

Decided to bid on an Arra King and just won one from Pachislot777. Didn't do too awful bad on the price. A lot of people didn't like the green color, but that was one of my prime reasons for wanting it. Was tired of all the "standard" chrome and basic colored machines that all look pretty similar from across the room. Can't wait for it to get here (except for what I'm going to hear from the wife!).

Hey, if the wife says too much, just get a Catfish or Pink Boo and put it on the stand next to it.

The comment about the wife is not because of the color, it's because I'm buying too many toys. We bought a Yajou machine (with a Dale Earnhardt/Looney Tunes belly glass a couple of weeks ago. Within a couple of days, I won a bid for a Daiichi Final Battle pachinko machine, and now the Arra King.

Showed my wife a picture of the Catfish (couldn't find one for Pink Boo) and she said, OooH, Cool!" Maybe there is hope yet. Besides, she is the one that always plays the slots at the casinos, I tend to play Blackjack.

Could be me, but I think something was lost in this thread. I have an Arra King that I really like, however, I have only had it for 3 days and I am really, really curious about the pachinko aspect of this machine.

I have played through the bonus round but am still really unclear about the pachinko play.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks. ~spooner
