    Default Chrome paint?

There is a small place (1 inch square maybe) on my Pachinko machine that has lost some of the paint. It has been like that since I got it but I'd like to repaint that area. The paint is very shiny chrome but I haven't located any decent paints that can match that color/appearance. I have found a few paints that claim to be chrome but are never as reflective as the paint on the machine. Anybody know of a good chrome paint for touch ups?

what is worn is chrome plating on plastic.

look for chrome (one side sticky) film and cover the whole piece if it can

Yellow lava flow, not the red flow as with the yellow plastic machine fronts, this is rare

I never thought that the plastic was plated. The film might be okay but the area is lettering so I guess you apply glue to the areas you want the film to stick and then rub off the rest?

There was a place here in Ft lauderdale called Chrome Dynamics where I had a couple of plastic parts and frames re-done for under a hundred bucks each but they closed last december. anyone else? I would love to find a reasonable place again.

I think I will experiment with this stuff first

    http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001003JTI?...89&camp=211189

Test it out on some other plastic items and see if it looks close enough.
A lot cheaper than the hundreds for plating.

I'm not sure but I think the chrome plating on plastic is made inside some sort of vacuum chamber. You cannot do shiny mirror finish with paint.

Kustom Kolor Europe, The most exotic finishes on our planet

This is the paint they are using. They have it in spray cans too. Might be quite expensive.

Results do look impressive. Probably not as expensive as plating though

I have Killer Krome...Nice product, and it has a chrome finish. The only problem is is you clear coat it...it dulls the chrome. and if you don't clear coat it...it scratches east. It's about 100.00 bucks four the kit.

If the part is flat, then you can use chrome vinyl. It's not very expensive, but doesn't do complex curves well.

Unfortunately the place is the outlining around some lettering. Not easy to apply a film unless it is like gold leaf where I can rub off anything that isnt glued.

...or this. I have used this in crafting. It is similar to gold leafing.

Here is a picture of the area in question. I attempted to use a "silver foil" paint which was close but not close enough. The areas circled are the "silver foil" paint I used. Plus some areas are still a little bare.
