Default Help on Pachinko Palace "My Life" Bought this weekend

I found what is labeled to be a Pachinko Palace Imports Nishijin "My Life" Super DX game this weekend at a garage sale. It is missing the key for the door, but has the balls and the top left light lights up after I attached it to a new 6v battery.

Any ideas or suggestions on who I could contact in the Dallas area to get it up and running?

My best friend had one of these in the 70's and I always loved playing it. I am excited to put it in the game room.

I have no idea what it is worth, but did not pay a lot so hopefully I did not get taken.

Thanks so much in advance for your help!!!

    Welcome to PachiTalk!

Congratulations on the machine. I would not worry about the key. Most machines do not have the keys and they are very easy to open from the back of the machine.

If you could post a few pictures, front and back, that would help diagnosing a problem.

My first question would be how many balls came with the machine. You would want a minimum of 500, but I really suggest more than that.

Nice looking machine you have there .

The first test I would try is to fill the upper ball hopper with all but maybe 20 of the balls you have.

    back with arrows.jpg
The large horizontal arrow marks the upper hopper. The smaller vertical arrow is to point out a lever that if not in the proper position will dump all of the balls out of the bottom. This allows you to empty the machine. I cannot tell from the picture which position it is in at the moment, so I would put a container under the bottom chute on the back just in case before you add the balls.

I believe the light that is on is telling you that the hopper is empty but cannot trace the wires very well from the picture.

The screws I believe fit the terminal I circled in this image. Although it appears you already have screws in place.

at first when I put the balls in they ran all the way through, then I "latched" if you will the area you said, and now they do not go all the way through, but if I pull the handle, still nothing. I am sure I am doing something wrong.

The light stayed on after I put the balls in.

the screws are different than the ones in the top, and yes, they are there with the terminals and wires.
I found the opener too and all is good on that. It opens just fine.
I put about 20- more in and still nothing.

Is the hopper remaining partially full when you add balls?

The balls going in will first fill the jackpot mechanism then fill the tracks all the way back to the hopper.

    I hope that made sense.

Mopar's video will probably help more than my description.

The video is great, and you were right, it showed me the light is when there are not enough balls in. Once I put them in it went off.
The issue seems to be the balls not loading to then go up. When I pulled the jackpot thing in the back, it paid and came down. Everything else is working. Is there a special way to get the balls to load?

It seems they are not loading, but also if I open the front and put them in the jackpot places, nothing happens. Ugh!
