Hanabi Fireworks Pachislo Volume???

Just got my hands on a mint Hanabi Fireworks pachislo but I have no clue where the volume control is in the machine. Help? Anyone? Thanks

inside on the door. about a quarter the way up from the bottom there is a switch facing down. it has 3 positions, blow your ears drums out, ear piercing loud, and heard of elephants. there is also two switches by the odds button. those are not the volume.

and in the meantime you can put in about a dozen paper towel sheets to quiet it down

I did install mini volume controls on my Monkey Magic, and they work fine.

radio shack sells a package with a bunch of different small volume controls.

if its the large screen model the volume control switch is on the large clear plastic box on the door

feel under the right hand bottom edge of the clear box to find it

If you are looking for something that will make it quite, this won't help.

Toward the bottom of the door is a slider with 3 settings:Too loud, Wake the neighbors and wake the dead.
You have to reach under the plastic from the bottom.

Pic's of the inner door and PC boards. We'll have a hunt and find mission.

How many speakers does it have? Follow the speaker wiring back. Sometimes it goes to a PC Board that contains the switches. Sometimes they go to a separate PC board thet continues them on to the sound board via a ribbon cable.

Sometimes they are small slide switches under a plastic cover on a PC Board.

Can you please post a picture of your machine?

There are a couple different versions of the Fireworks theme.
Some with a 4th reel, and others with a video screen.

I found a generic manual for this manufacturer, and it looks like an incredible machine!

I fixed my volume control by adding a resistor inline to the speakers.

I believe i bought a 66 ohm resistor from radio shack.

If you are going to install a volume pot, try 0-500 Ohms. The 0-10k that radio shack sells is too hard to fine tune.
