    Smile Nishijin Napalm

I located this NISHIJIN NAPALM (Hanemono type) Pachinko machine with the assistance of craigslist, months ago. Six weeks later after long, hard negotiations and it was mine. I picked it up tonight.
The owner said it was his Dad’s then…, now his. His kids fooled around with it but it seemed busted.
I got a blue ball tray with about fifty balls, NO key. Note the Hammacher Shlemer label on the added case and a huge ball jam in back. Undoubtedly caused by an empty reward hopper. I think I still see the same ad in the current H/S catalog!
I took the attached photos, plugged it in (it lit up and the center feature spun). I turned it off and posted. Details to follow.

Congrats!! looks like a very tidy pachinko, and I always love the bright colours

Presume the problem was just a ball jam then??

This machine seems 100% complete and operational. It is as expected very dusty/dirty. All the lights light, the ball shooter works and one sheet of plexi is present. I fixed the ball jam which was caused by a lack of Payout (reward) balls. The 250 or so included balls (200 were in the huge jam) are now taking a ride in my tumbler.
I have attached a close up photo of the label/advertisement, note the price. Also, take a look at the photo of the reward hopper. An unusual (to me) device is attached to the rear which seems to allow the hopper to be filled with more balls than normal.
Now to clean it up and give it a test run. Got to love craigslist.

A lot of machines have those, the ball lifters are supposed to have them too. It allows the tube from the aisle ball cutoff to be mounted close to the top of the hopper, yet prevent balls from falling out when the machine is opened.
