So did anyone get an iphone

I have just been watching a couple of videos on Youtube of people fighting to be one of the first in the USA to get hold of the new iphone. It is not available in the UK yet, but I just wondered if any members from the USA had got one yet & what they thought of it.

Seems the usual hype in my opinion we are seeing on new electronic stuff coming out (PS3 etc, etc).

My company provides my blackberry, so I have no reason myself to drop $600 on a cell phone. It's an absolutely mind-numbing figure for a cell phone that may have some interesting web features but most sites (such as this one) aren't set up to display properly on such a small screen.

Charlie Rose did an episode a few days ago with two of the four "tech" reviewers who were allowed to get an i-phone early. All four agreed in there reviews that the I-phone was an amazing piece of technology and it far surpassed anything that was expected.

so it plays music 8 gig worth of "ipod" music and views the real web any decent pocket pc (my old pocket pc phone edition can do that except for the 8 gig ) could do that sometime ago i fail to see the significance. just another example of the keep up with the Jones mentality and a perfect example of the low supply high demand principle what better way to make free publicity then to have riots over supply shortages (learned that back in the eighties with the cabbage patch kids).nothing really new here just rehashed in a new package ...

a tv shopping channel was selling one for only 999.99

Looks a very pretty piece of kit but looking through the specs it doesn't seem to do as much as my Nokia N95; apart from the 8Gb (the N95 can go to 2).

No doubt there will be glitches and bugs in it too.

Billy has 5 webkins. He loves them.He has Webkins trading cards too. He spends a lot of time on the webkins site, thats why you don't see hm on here much anymore. You can find them in Hallmark stores for about $20 each if you get on a waiting list.

I didn't try, $600 buys alot of pachis! plus my beat up old Razr is still kicking! in fact I still do not know how to do alot of what my phone does! I can make calls and use occasionally for a pic so that's good enough!

Come to think of it sometimes I wish my phone was broke!!

I think this phone system has more to offer me than the Iphone. Especially since I just bought it. And it works well with my cell phones and it has video capabilities.

There are plenty of free or $50 phones with the same features, I'm just not keen on paying close to a $100 a month per phone for the service (net, email, phone) every month.

I'm happy with my old time V3 Razr. I like a phone that looks like nothing is in my pocket. thats all i need
