Vintage Pachislos ????

I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a 'market' for vintage pachislo machines? Back in 1996 I bought a pachislo machine at a slot machine / jukebox show in New Jersey.

The machine has very straight, traditional lines like the older slot machines, no plastic or curves. It has a five way payout, traditional reels (plums, cherries, bells, sevens,etc). The machine allows you to play cash or credit. It also allows you to play only one, two or three tokens at a time. The cabinet sides are covered with a wood grain laminate and the front panels and belly glass are an orange color scheme. The belly glass is illuminated and just has the word "ORIENTAL" across the front in big letters..

It is a very nice, traditional machine, which I paid $450 for back in 1996. At the time I thought that was pretty reasonable, but in the past month, I just added four new machines to my collection (Babel, Thunderbirds, Neo Planet and Monkey vs.Crab) at an average price of $125 for each machine (not including shipping)....so I guess $450 for my ORIENTAL machine wasn't such a great deal.

Does anyone know where I could get more info on my ORIENTAL machine?

well you played it for 10 years, thats only 45.00 a year

Depending on the state some of the old machines have a value. I have 2 machines that are grandfathered here in California. They were outlawed here in CA a few years ago to let the indians have slot machines in their casinos. The new ones can not be sold here I have a troublesome "sea adventure" that I need some help (coin adjustment) with and a "Pink Panther" that I love dearly.

I have to make due with regular slots over 25 years and only let family use it and Pachislos. I also have Pachinkos with slots in them. I have a "gladiator" that is almost as fun as the "pink panther".

There may be other states like WA or OR that have laws that are like CA. Who knows you may be able to help out a friend or relative in a state that has not been able to enjoy (or see) a Pachislo.
