Default Can you please help me to identify what I've bought?!

    Hello all,

I've just stumbled across this forum while trying to find out what I've won on ebay!

The link is: Vintage Japanese Pachinko Pinball Machine on eBay (end time 15-Jul-11 20:02:22 BST)

It's not in good condition at all (the pictures make it look a lot better than it is!) - but I've been tyring to find a pinball machine to renovate for ages and this was the only one I could afford.

Having received it in the post today I realise I don't even know what the model is; let alone where to find tips on renovation!

I was brought up in a house with pinball machines (wall mounted and large floor ones) and have been wanted to revert to childhood for years and start renovating like my dad did - however, until I bid on this I'd never seen a Pachinko in action (have since googled lots!).

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Thank you in advance,

A desperate to get started and play, child at heart, ebay trigger happy bidder!

    Julia

    Hi Julia, welcome to PachiTalk!!

We saw this one listed on ebay and it looks very interesting and you got it for a good price, congratulations!!

It's a Vintage Pachinko, made by Heiwa and they really didn't give them specific names, so we just tend to name them after any interesting pics or features on the cell front

It needs glass, but that should be easy to get and you will need to get some pachinko balls, unless you already have some

Nice to see another UK member join us, and you'll find all the information you need to restore your pachinko here at PachiTalk, the members are very helpful and there is a ton of info in the 'sticky' threads at the beginning of this 'vintage pachinko' section of the forums Vintage Pachinko

you got a nice Heiwa there.

here is a thread that talks about what to use and how to clean your machine :http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/vint...o-machine.html

Hope you can get a hold of some pachinko balls if you don't have any I hear they are fairly hard to find in the UK

Best of luck to ya and feel free to ask any questions.

I have 500 balls in the tumbler now getting ready to sell
As for glass. You can you persex available from B&Q or My choice. Go to your local picture framer and get them to cut to pieces of glass.

    Thank you everyone!

I think the picture framers idea is brilliant - I was going to go along with the B&Q perspex idea. However, that'll have to wait til I've got it working - which I can't really tell without the balls! Will be emailing you if you don't mind Drunkenclam!
