Cryptic readout

What in the world do these cryptic symbles on the digital leds mean. I'm talking about the ones on the front of the pachinkos. Mine don't show up as numbers or letters, just crazy symbles. Stuff like this:

/ /_/ / _ /

At first I thought the readouts were faulty, like not all the segments were lit, but it's like that on both machines.

Well, gee. That explains everything.......not. Guess I shall forever remain clueless.

Normally there are just 2 dashes displayed, the crazy stuff happens during fever rounds. Still have no clue what they mean

Ok, on my newest pachinko, the digits appear to be working. During fever rounds the digits are FF, or UA or 8P and such, so I think either my readouts are bad with missing segments or I have wiring problems on 2 of my pachinkos. Still don't know what they mean.

Is it better to have working readouts that mean nothing to you or blank readouts?

I think from things Rupan has said in the past they indicate the type of bonus. Something some parlors use so that if you get a certain bonus, they can make you stop. Don't know why>
