You won that ebay auction for this machine didn't you? Do you mind telling what you ended up paying for it? You got a very nice BESTA machine there. they were a company founded (◄ not sure if best word to use) in the 50's. they were basically a branch off company of Mizuho. I was planning on putting a bid in on this machine because it cought my intrest and I did some research on it. But I was out of town when the auction ended so I didn't get a chance to throw my bid in.

Once you get then machine can you please post some more pictures of it (I really would like to see the badge on the front by the tray.)

    100 machines and counting...

I was the only bidder. Paid $30. Will definitely post more pictures once I get it. Also, what would be the best thing to use to clean the rusty back?

It was the cheapest one I could find, that is why I ended up buying it. Can you point me in the right direction on where to find information on how to clean it up?

Do you know where I can go for information on cleaning it? Also, it looks like it is missing a front tray, how would I replace that.

this site has all the info you'll need. use the search box. don't spray any cleaners directly onto the play field/ cel. it'll permanently stain it.

You know, its funny... I check ebay probably 3 times per day for pachinko machines and yet I never saw this one up there. This is exactly the kind I am looking for. I normally search for "pachinko" and filter by "arcade, jukebox, & pinball" in the left hand catagories to get rid of all of the PS2 games. Can anyone suggest a reason this one got by my ever watchful eyes? Even searching completed listings for all catagories for "pachinko" does not show this item as having ever been for sale. What gives?

pachinko.jpgI know exactly why It was horribly mislabeled. Here is the listing "VINTAGE CHINESE OR JAPANESE PINNBALL MACHINE RARE". I had purchased another but it has not been sent and I had to open a case I have attached a picture of that one and here is the label it was under "1960s wall mount pinball machine". If I ever receive it I will post more pictures.

You know I found out a while back that some people don't know what pachinko is so they call the machines "japanese pinball" instead. So I have been searching that for a while now. Also I found out if you type in "pachinco" in ebay it also has a few machines in there also. If you use any of these searches you might want to be searching in "all catigories" because some people just don't know what they are.

I used to search several different things on ebay and found some good deals that way..I think some of the most sucsessful ones were Japanese Pinball, Chinese Pinball and Pachinco..

I check the usual suspects of pachinko, pachinco, pichinko, pashinko, etc etc

as well as pinball machine, arcade machine, flickball, bagatelle, etc etc

also try searching for the brand names, sometimes that is all a seller will notice on a machine, so try variations of Nishijin, sanyo, sankyo, newgin, etc etc

Lots of sellers haven't a clue what they are really called or how to spell it, so just try a few variations and you'll be sure to find some sooner or later

except here in the US some people figure out how to misspell some of the brand names. I mean you have the machine look at it to see if it is spelled right.

There is a website FatFingers - eBay typos, misspelling spelling mistakes
which is brililant for finding mis-spelt/incorrectly categorised bargains on ebay - HTH

I type pachinko into that site and these are the objects it searched for

    pachinco, pachinno, pachink, pachino

I don't think the second one is much help here.

If you make your search "pachinko -pachino" it will search for all mis-spellings excluding pachino
