Hi Pachidude... This is the link that is in the Research Center PachiTalk Research Center - Sammy - Popeye - PachiTalk

I hope you can get a bit of info from it. One of the major issues we have in this hobby, is the lack of printed materials for them. Even if you do come across a pamphlet, surely it will be in Japanese. Some of the more reputable vendors distribute typed up sheets that seem to be a bit more machine specific than others... but I don't think that is the norm. As these machines were never intended to have a life after the parlours, I am afraid that professional literature is just not available or extremely rare.

One of the main functions of this forum at it's inception was sharing information about your machines with others. Most of this information was garnered by playing the machines and noting any small details or changes in gameplay and then reporting them here. You may be able to get some insight by searching Popeye in the forums, there must have been some discussion at one point or another.

I think that the membership in general recognizes that the only way they will truly understand their machine is through lots and lots of playing time. We occasionally get reports from individuals that have discovered something new with their machines after playing with it for a few years sometimes.

    Have fun discovering your machine!

There is also a general Pachislo FAQ in the research center and perhaps anyone owning this machine may chime in with some info!

Just FYI... you cannot delete a thread. Only the Mods can do that and I have only seen it done in extreme cases.

Unless it is strictly for collection purposes,
I honestly don't understand the need folks have for these so called "play guides" as of late...
Half the fun is figuring things out as you go.
Although it is nice to have accessories to compliment your toys.

Here's a play guide for all:
    Step 1: Insert 50 tokens
Step 2: Depress reel start lever
Step 3: Push reel stop buttons (in any order)
Step 4: When credits drop below 3 coins, repeat steps 1-3

That should get you several hours of play.
Should you thirst for more, here is the manufacturers webpage: Popeye/Sammy

    As a proud owner of the Popeye pachislo you've no doubt experienced all this first-hand;
however, you could also read through this: Popeye/The Pachisho
    All done without a pamphlet

Should you have specific questions (ie: regarding resets, maintenence, in need of parts, etc...) Pachitalk.com
is the best playguide you're bound to find.
