Napping!? NO! NO! We were not napping. We did all our napping in the 19 hour fur low we just came off of. Would we nap during all that down time on the plane when we can nap at home?

The Highest Fines and penalties needs to be charged against the Airline, Pilots , Flight attendants for over an Hour not paying attention to their jobs and the saftey of the passengers . My question , why did the military delay launching fighters to the airplane thats the scary part too .

the responsibility rides fully on the crew in the cockpit. If it was fighting, sleeping or fun with flight attendants there is no excuse for non communication for an hour and missing the airport. The crew needs to be grounded permanently and if it takes fining the airline to prevent this from happening again then so be it.

Should they be all be fired for it? No

According to your assertion, shouldn't the passengers be held responsible also, they didn't do anything to try and stop them either. If what the crew did was a crime, failing to intercede makes them complicit in said crime.


When things don't go right the 1st time , Step back ,Take a break and come back renewed.

Then go to court to answer for your indiscretions from things not going right the first time!

Lets see , a plane with over 100 passengers flying at over 200 miles per hour with a major amount of highly flamable fuel at a high altitude Hummm Major Responsablity when you take the controls of this craft .

If they were almost to destination I would think they were closer to empty. Thank goodness they had the extra fuel, but they don't put much more than they need, the extra weight costs money to move around.

I'm sure they were trying to contact them before they got to Minneapolis, they only overshot by 150. With a cruising speed of about 300mph, they only missed it by 1/2 hour.

I'm sure Marquette was shaking in it's boots about a terrorist attack!

Yes they should be relieved of their licenses to shuttle people across this country. Whatever it was there were doing during this time, it was neglect pure and simple. This is not baseball, you don't get three strikes when you're dealing with peoples lives.
