Startup Problem

I have an Aladdin II and it has a problem. When it is powered on all it does is sit there and make a loud noise, 3 ascending notes, and display EE in the L.E.D. window. I have researched this site and discovered elsewhere that this could be a hopper empty fault, but only having the bog standard manual, I don't know where to start! Any tips/pointers would be most appreciated. Thans for a great site by the way, wasn't sure if one would exist lol!

OK.. Open up the Machine
Make sure that there are tokens in the hopper
Inside bottom left switch off power switch
Turn odds key ( right next to power switch) clockwise 1/4 turn
Switch on the power
Set the odds Small button inside of door by latch
push the round nob on the front of the machine left side down and hold for a few seconds ( a 0 should come up on the LED display)

Turn odds key back counterclockwise 1/4 turn
That should do it for a reset.
If that does not do it, check all your connectors and look for lose wires.

I thank you very much for your reply. Is there any chance you could give me a couple of diagrams or something? All i have is the 2 switches bottom left, one black and one red, (ob main power) and at the top left I have a flip toggle switch, a key slot (no key) and a black push switch. I am really new at this, and i thank you for your time.

Mine looks like this (yours might not be the same).

SUCCESS! the machine is reset, and I now have the medals light flashing. One problem to go, it wont take coins, the simply fall back out of the bottom. Any more ideas?

Its all ok now, checked the coin mech and the sensor plate was off slightly, adjusted and reset and now all is working. Thankyou vey much for your assistance. I have a basic manual for Aladdin2, would scanning it in to put on this site be of any benefit to this site? Let me know.
