    Default Hello all!

    Hello everyone.

Just though I would introduce myself. My name is Jon and I have just bought a Beebop pachinko machine - I have fancied one for a while and got this one a week or so ago from Nik - who I think is a member here. Hi Nik!

I am busy making a case and polishing up the balls. I'm not quite sure where I am going to put it yet, there's very little wall space left in my house. The pachinko is joining three Allwins, four pinballs of various ages and two silver age jukeboxes (1050's) - so it won't be lonely

I am sure I will have loads of daft questions but will try to have a read through the various FAQs so I don't ask too many that have been answered a million times before...

    Cheers - Jon (ZtH)

I thought I'd better wait until I'd actually got something to post about! Now I have and I am very pleased

There are so many useful threads on here that I managed to gather most of the information I felt I needed to start with without pestering you all! That will all change now though :lol8:

    Thanks everyone for the welcome!

Here's the first stupid question. If I click on the museum item in the top bar, it tells me that there are no categories found. If I click on the log in button, it says 'You have specified an invalid username or password.' The username is the same one as I log on here, but there seems to be nowhere to type a password. I am sure I am missing something here!

EDIT: Don't worry - I sorted it out. Operator error!!!!

You have to register for that site separately and I am currently building a new museum directly into the forum and that site is going away. So you can register for it and like the forum you'll have to get a responding email from the system.

    Welcome!!!

I too have a bebop High School and have learned a quite a bit from it.
It is my first to have a LCD screen in it. The light show is pretty impresssive. Sometimes it looks like the the lighted "be\bop" actually be bop. The glowing fist and ring that changes colors is pretty neet too. I have only got a fever one time (with a 222). The extra chance time went way too fast but had a slide show.

Thanks again all. I have just quickly screwed it onto a couple of 'feet' to stop it falling forward so I can play it reasonably safely. I think my next step is going to be a good cleaning. I'll probably use Novus for the plastic areas - do you lot use this? It's common in pinball restoration.

The 'playfield' also needs a good cleaning. Lacking the specialist cleaning tool and foaming cleaner used in a video on this site that I have watched, what is recommended?

Also there are lights at the top left and right. I think that the left light flashes when the hopper has run out of balls and the machine needs to pay out. Is that right? Does anyone know what the right hand equivalent light does (if anything!)

You are a member of a new nation, Pachination

The concept of PachiTalk was to bring together anyone and everyone who has a passion for these amazing Japanese creations. Once you stepped through the doors at PachiTalk.com, you become part of the Pachination.
You are no longer Japanese, American, English, Italian, German, etc. (If I missed you I am sorry). You are now considered a Pachinational, put that on an application! We are all one big entity amongst ourselves and our Pachis. Segregation is not our philosophy and the seperating of diffent cultures will not happen, we are one, under the Pachi Flag.

We are the United Nations of Pachiland....

Ah yes, I thought mine had a bulb out or a problem too until I got a fever. There are 2 payout tracks one pays 5 (front) and the other 15 (back). The other light is for the other (rear) track. It pays 15 in a fever. All my other machines to date are the same way. The 15 payout track holds about 100 spheres and makes it hard to play with 300. I quickly added another 200 which I feel is the bare minimum.

I have a question for you. On that game there is a hole on the left side of the LCD screen that puts balls in front of the LCD screen that looks like blue plastic ocean waves causing the spheres to zig zag in front of the screen. There is also a hole on the right hand side of the LCD, is there a way to get the spheres in front of the screen from the right? I think it is a hole to nowhere but it makes you wonder.

I will keep an eye out and see - although I am 90% sure that I had balls coming out of both holes when I was playing earlier.

My 'waves' are black not blue. Also my machine has a red surround - the couple of pictures I have managed to find of this machine both had blue surrounds - is there a difference or is it just a colour variation?

Thanks for the info about the top lights - that makes perfect sense!
