Hi Everyone,
As I wander through the threads I found that everyone has been posting intros in here... so here's mine.
Video game junkie who remembers saving up $249 for my first Atari 2600 and explains to my 21 yr old son how we used to take our dates to the arcade on a Friday night in High School.
Now that I'm older I leave the Wii and PS3 to the kids and went on to build my own MAME machine using Ultracade software which emulates almost all the games I pumped quarters into in the 80s. I built it within an old 1942 cabinet that someone just gave me - the glass is original on it and awesome. Someday I will have to rip out the old tube in it and replace with a flat screen, but for now it kind of sits in the corner.
Delved into pachislos in the late 90s, early 00s and ended up keeping only the Pink Panther now. Goal is to get some real Vegas slots in the future.
A friend of mine had a vintage pachinko years back and I always wanted one - this year decided it was time to ask the wifey for 'permission' of course - and she went out and bought me the Planet of the Apes for our anniversary. (next year she's going to have buy me a real pinball machine too - lol).
Anyway - I understand why it is so addictive - moreso than Pachislo - and am ready to jump in and get more already.
I have posted some newbie questions that I have on the machinge in another thread, but for now know that another one is hooked in the U.S.A.
