Broken trip dog........

Got my hands on a universal Omron key......

However, discovered my Heiwa Batman trip dog is broken.....

I can open the unit, but the reverse function trip to open the cell glass doesn't work as a lug has broken off the trip dog.......

Any chance of finding a replacement ?

Any advice welcome

can you guess the shape from looking at the origonal and make one or put a blob of weld on the origonal to get the lug back ?

If you plan on wall mounting you can still open the glass after you open the door.
the machine has a latch in back just for the glass.
If you brought it from one of the regular vendors they should replace the tab for you.
If not PM Arby or Slotusa may have one

That particular cabinet style is readily available in the US. If you bought it from SLOTUSA or Texasauction, they will have the part in their junkers pile. Even if you didn't buy from them, they might still help if they have the time.

no not any of them, but on the same style frame I found it was set up witha different trip dog.

You are going to need to shot a picture of what you got there and look on the trip dog for a letter stamping too.

Well...... sometimes you just have to fiddle with stuff long enough.........

As I mentioned I thought my trip dog was broken, as the glass did not open on ccw spin of the key and it was difficult to open the frame with a CW turn.....

So I figured the best thing to do was take it apart.....hmm... couldn't actually see where it had sheared........was intending to re-shape it a little.......then I look at the mech again and I realise some twit had fitted it wrong side up.... ...%*@!!! Can't understand why it would have been taken off in the first place ?

Works perfectly now , still my Fireworks didn't work with the UNI key , so.... 10 minutes later following Arby's excellent lock mod and I now have 3 fully functioning key operated units.....
