I purchased a cheap lamp at Wal-Mart for my Pachinko so that I could see the Cell in my dark games room. What I ended up with is debatable. I think it might actually be a bulletin board instead!



What I ended up with is a light emitting device that requires a degree in Nuclear Science to operate. If this device is so dangerous, why can a child buy and use it?

Is it just me or have we gone waaaay overboard with this litigation thing?

Aren't the labels themselves becoming a hazard and liability by hindering and restricting my ability to use these product in a safe manner? They may themselves be a fire hazard, or at least cause the device to topple due to their weight. If I try to remove them, the sticky residue remains. Should I use alcohol to clean that up? Lets start a big bonfire shall we!

This thing is really starting to burn me!!!

Thanks for allowing me to rant. I can't play my Pachinko because I'm too afraid to operate my new lamp. It may violate my home insurance policy. I've got to check the exclusion clauses first, before I can play.

If you are looking to light up your pachinko, I have found adding LEDs to the inside of the cabinet works great.

I bought a new JD lawn tractor last year and literally over 1/2 of the owner's manual or about 25 solid pages is all the safety/liability stuff. They are forced to instruct on everything right down to "Keep your eyes open while mowing. Don't mow while tired." Etc.

There are even stickers on buckets warning that they are not toys and to keep kids away.

My favorite is the sticker on my snow blower which shows the circle-slash "Do Not" symbol over a picture of a guy shoving his arm into the front of the thing with his hand actually being severed.

I must admit that I have often felt like the guy in the warning as I am reaching behind my live machine to knock loose a stuck ball, move some balls, or to hit the ball release. Good thing these games were built for dummys like me. Everything live is covered by plastic shells.

I don't know about you guys but I actually felt disgusted when I unpacked my lamp. Enough is enough! You can't legislate common sense! If someone is stupid enough to bathe with a hair dryer ... it becomes survival of the fittest. If they kill themselves they can't pass on their defective genes. Is that too cruel?

Should I take a deep breath 3 times and let everying pass over and through me? I'd like to play with my Pachinko's but now I am too afraid.

Wife is a mgr. for Mickey D's and they are now required to make SURE that the customer that orders a coffee or capachino (sp) understands that the coffee and cap, that they have ordered is extremely hot and to sip, not gulp.


Sad thing is, owner got sued and lost because a person burnt their mouth, tongue, and throat due to taking 3 gulps and the dumb a$$'s complaint on sueing was, "all the other Mc. Donalds I go to, they aren't that hot." Its a sad, sad world....

why cant anyone take responsibility for their stupidity... always got to blame someone else for their mistakes etc etc...

The sad truth is that before a case goes to trial the Judge decides if it is worthy of it. Most of these cases should have been tossed before going to court.
