And because they are real people putting up their dollars this means what? I seem to know of a rather large town in the middle of the desert where real people put up their real dollars all day and night. Then go back home without their real dollars.

People putting up their own money on trading shares simply means , of course, that with tens of thousands of people doing so you can get relatively accurate odds on winning or losing.

As if you needed to be told that... And, what we're talking about here is a lot different than people going out on the craps table in the desert and losing.

As it stands, if you like Seahawks, you can buy them at 37 and if they win, you'll win 63. If I thought the Seahawks were going to win, I'd be all over that. In fact, I'm a bit tempted as I think those odds are too much in favor of the Steelers.
