heres a question you can answer tulsa she wants to know what men see in these machines (pachi's) any way ??? (she plays one once in a blue moon and gets no enjoyment from them).

Why wouldn't you ask what WOMEN see in the machines, since, I assume, Wendy-by-the-way, is a woman? And, since I don't need a special invitation, I'll just answer it myself:
1. I like the excitement of the lights, the music, and the discovery of what makes a certain machine tick.
2. I find it to be like active meditation, and relaxing, in that sense.
3. I like it a lot better than TV.

Oh that's easy, we're moths.
We are drawn to the lights, sounds and game play of real machines we can afford to put into our own homes. We all grew up going to arcades and amusement parks and later onto casinos for the rich alure offered by these exciting places.
Now in our very own homes we can have this excitment!Blended into this is the mystique of the Japanese culture. The fulfillment of leaning to the point of actually understanding these wonders is an achievement that Bill and Fred down the street just aren't going to experience with their pinball machines and pool tables.
We work hard all day long to make our way in this world and being able to escape, if only for a brief time, into this exciting side of an entirely different culture helps us recharge ourselves for the next days battles of the real world.
Of course the fact that we never really grew up doesn't hurt either.

wendy said she's glad to hear your reply as its more important than what she hears from me (hey wait a min . thats a slam) she does agree with you on #3 but shes not really intrested in the first 2 and would rather have a good book .
as for the being a women part i'll vouch for that
but it doesnt help her to understand the male perspective (not sure if thats a slam or not).

Wendy is never going to be impressed with the complexity of these machines. What is going to impress her is the joy on your face as you receive one of these wonders from the delivery guy. Knowing that you're happy, albeit it shaking her head in confusion as to why, is going to be enough for her. You see, I can tell even over the internet that Wendy is a wonderful person who wants nothing but the best for her husband.

Tulsa ,WEW that was the biggest pile of @#$% ,you sure your married ????? (the thanks was from Wendy) actually your correct she does like watching me open the boxes when they get here (and asks the inevitable question : where the hell ya gonna put that one ?) and besides the 8-yr old (David) likes the boxes (staples removed of course). So your spot on with that one.
