    Default Great article

This article is old, but has a lot of very relevant information in it. One of the more informative articles I've read on Pachinko:

I know I can't believe I'm here thinking about setting up Token and Ball lenders and counters, Ball lifters and Battle Counters., instead of working...

Compirate (and friends), what have you done!

I admit that I am powerless over pachinko--that my life has become unmanageable.

(My advance appologies to anyone suffering from alcohol addiction.)

I wonder if some innovative Japanese Pachinko company has thought about creating a virtual network Pachinko Parlour, one in which the players stay at home, receive a controller to attach to their cable/satellite box at home and then play on the screen, ultimately ordering goods online for their winnings - the virtual steel ball.

Considering that this all stemmed from someone's bright idea of what to do with surplus ball bearings and steel mills after the 2nd world war, and is now an industry larger than their car manufacturing industry (and primarily domestic), it's all quite fascinating (and part of the allure).

    Oh yes, back to work....

I feel your pain. One of those helpful people here--I think it was luckydog--started a thread about $99 pachinko machines from Homier. What the heck, the price was right and I was only buying one. I only had room for one.

    Right...

Then came the Pink Panther machine, a thousand balls, a ball lift, then 5,000 balls, then the Densha de GO! machine, and a thousand balls, then a Thunderzone, a thousand balls, and as I type this there are 2 more ball lifts on the way from Japan. Oh, and I need another couple thousand balls now.

So where does it end? For me, it doesn't. Now that I've blown close to $1k on pachinko stuff in the past 3 weeks, there are at least 3 more machines that are looking good to me.

Hey, pachinko karma works in mysterious ways. Why else would those very desirable machines turn up less than 24 hours after my last buy?
