Default Help, Coin Hopper on Beast Sapp

my coin hopper is not paying out the correct amount of tokens. I've switched to three different types of tokens and still no luck.

    Any ideas?

too little, it pays out 4 for a win of 8 I'm not sure about wins of 15 but I know its not 15. Credits are fine, but as soon as it starts coming out of the hopper the count is wrong.

Has the sound of the hopper changed?

not sure, Its the same sound as my other machines. I just got it today and went into bonus, then noticed the problem. I've taken the hopper out but I didn't notice any visual defects. I'm stumped.

I'm gonna see if any of my other hoppers will fit and give that a try.

Try this, do you have some silicone spray? If so, empty the hopper and spary some of the silicone into the area the tokens go, work it around with your fingers by spinning the hopper manually. Then give it another try.

I'm not 100% sure about the pachislo hoppers, but on Bally games a short paying hopper could only be two things. bad or dirty optics or a sticky counter switch(depending on the type of hopper). The other thing is a bad hopper control board. Most of the time its dust in the optics.

I had a terminator hopper that was acting that same way and this is what worked for me. That was over a year and ago and it's still chugging along just fine.

while you have it apart clean the sensor in the exit shoot if it cant see light clearly it will miscount .watch what you clean it with windex should be fine.

I took it apart sprayed it down with Silicone Lube and then cleaned the optic sensor. It was very dirty. Everything is working great now. Thanks for the help.

Windex is not the best for optics (plastic) . I messed up some WBA bill head optics using windex it etches the lense. At Bally Gaming we use simple green and water for optics and reel tape. windex only for glass and the cabinet. A can of air is good for cleaning the dust out too, if you want to try something before you take the hopper apart try the canned air.

I didn't want to spray windex on anything, except glass. So I just used a Q-tip on the sensor then blew it all down with canned air. the Q-tip turned black so this was most likely the problem. For good measure I also used the Silicone spray.

in this application it works fine its cmos sensors or camera lens that have the problem .the bill acceptor uses a cmos sensor to scan the bill these lens should only be cleaned with air !!!!!

How do you find the sensor in the hopper? I have the Neo Magic Pulsar and I'm having trouble with the coin release button. Everytime I press the coin release button it says error. Can anyone help? My first slot machine. Just got it friday.

pull the button itself and clean it with contact cleaner. pull the hopper flip it over and you will see a lever that moves as the coins exit the hopper. it will pass through the sensor. dismantle the hopper a bit and clean it well.
