Lightbulb Re: Question about general operation of Ball Lifters

I built a cabinet for Pink Panther that uses Arby's excellent design (the thread was called 'Ball Lifter 2nd Trial'). Trust me, I'm not a woodworker by any stretch of the imagination. All I did was raise the machine so that it sits on a ledge made of 1x4. The lifter sits on the bottom of the cabinet, and there's a tupperware-type container with a hole in the bottom that sits on top of the lifter's hopper. This setup works just fine for me, and you may be able to use something similar.

The plastic container holds over 2,000 balls, and this arrangement keeps the weight on the bottom.

Just a simple note to keep in mind, make sure the ball tray is clean without rust, often it has a rubber mat at the bottom and make sure that is wiped clean unless of course its new. You don't want dirty rust collecting on the balls and then shooting them into your clean playfield.
