Neo PlanetT wont stop

My reels wont stop spinning unles I lift up on the play knob. Has anyone had this problem before? If so is the play switch dirty or is it going bad? If cleanable how do you clean it? Thanks

have you got an auto stop card fitted

check your joystick and button cables, it maybe just a loose connection.

sounds like your knob is broke (not returning to center ) i take it your reel buttons dont light either till the stick is pushed up ???? as long as a switch is activated be it reel button or start knob the computer wont arm the reel stop buttons and you wont be able to stop them . it may just be that it needs cleaning in which case you just remove the photo switch and clean the area the knob extension passes through to activate the switch . first push the knob down if it returns to center fully its not the cause the photo switch is faulty (dirty or defective) could also be one of the reel stop buttons is sticking (when you hit the knob it maybe jaring the door freeing the stuck button switch ). either way good luck .

This may be a Neo Planet issue, as this is exactly what is happening with my Neo Planet... Have to lift up on the handle to get it to play. I'll try cleaning the photo eye.
My Neo Magic does not have this issue.

As I stated before I have to lift up on the play knob as it it not coming back to center. I don't know if it is weak or just needs cleaning so it will return to center. When it is returned to center then the reel stop buttons will light up and will work. My question is can it be cleaned so it will return to center or is it just wore out and has to be replaced :questionm :questionm :questionm

I'd try cleaning it first. Do you always press it one direction or the other? To start the reels are you always pressing it down? If so, try pushing up on it to start the reels and see if you notice this works itself out.

Thanks Tulsa, yes we always press down on it to play. I did notice if you press up on it then it will come back to center and work OK. I presumed it was just dirty or the spring had gotten weak in it and didn't know what the problem usually was in a case like this. Thanks again

I had a machine start to do that, i sprayed some contact cleaner around the shaft of the spin knob and moved it around.
It fixed my problem

Thanks guys for all of the help. Yes you can take apart the switch by being real careful as there plastic tabs that would probably break real easy. Anyway I took it apart and cleaned the thing completely. It was lubricated with some white grease like they use on auto door latches. I didn't have any of that so I lubed it with moly grease sparingly. Actually it is plastic rubbing against plastic so it doesn't take much grease. After reassembly the switch works perfect now. Hope this helps someone else! Thanks Again

I cleaned and replaced the lever... But it didn't help. I had to go to Home Depot and pick up a replacement spring.... Now it centers!!!
