Now there you have pre-empted a question I came up with this morning while playing for ages... has anyone tried "manipulating" the balls with a magnet to "encourage" them into the start hole?

...or in plain English, has anyone tried to cheat with a magnet? Has anyone ever heard of it being done in a real parlour? What happened to the culprit? Did he have his balls confiscated? (ouch!)

I've never heard of anyone so brazen but it might be possible. Anyway, the idea of cheating to get a few extra spins seems sort of ridiculous when you weigh in the repercussions (ie arrest and imprisonment). That's why most cheating devices are developed in an attempt to manipulate the ROM and/or data.
