    Default single bet mode

my gundam will not let me spin reels using 1 token or two tokens. i can only get the reels to spin using max bet. or by hitting single bet 3 times. is there a setting for this? or is this how the machine is set to play? thanks in advance, joe

Just use Max Bet. I have two machines like this and one that will play 1, 2, or 3 tokens.

Most machines today are Max Bet only.

You have a three coin play machine and it will only spin with three coins.

    Angry Re: single bet mode

Hi everybody, So there is no way to change the machines to play 1 or 2 tokens?
Why are they even wired up then? I,m still looking for a way to change 1 of my machines to 1,2,or 3(max bet).If the buttons are there and wired up there must be a way! It just bothers me to have buttons that do nothing!

They used the same cases for different machines to save money, It was cheaper just leaving the bottons there.

Wire them to something else if you feel that strong of a need to have them do something. Possibly activate a light that will cause someone to bring you a drink.

I realize that they re-use the cases but why are they wired up? Why do they semi-function? Wouldn't it be cheaper for the manufacturer to just plug the holes with a plastic cap instead of putting buttons in and wiring them up?(although electronic switches are probably just as cheap as plastic caps in japan)

When they're building the machines, they probably don't know which theme the machine will be until the last stages of production. At the very end, the put in the boards that are unique to that machine and put on the graphics that match the electronics and reels. I think they also leave open the possibility of reprogramming a machine (changing the ROMs) after it is in service.

If if hasn't been said already WELCOME! This is a great place and there's a wealth of knowledge to be gained here

    Short answer to your question:

    No, I don't think so.

    Long Answer to you question:

I think you'd have to pull the ROMs, reverse engineer the code, add the logic for multple bet scenarios and different pay lines, and IF there's room in the chip to support the additional programming you can then burn a replacement ROM.

    [sarcasm]
As long as you're in there, you could translate all the Japanese to english, load you favorite tunes in for bonus round music and re-program the LED/LCD screen to show your favorite video.
    [/sarcasm]

    Sorry, I couldn't resist

Not to belittle your idea, a few people have tried and some have made progress, but no one's really broke the whole thing wide open

    Thanks for the info
.I guess I'll have to leave it alone or maybe hook the buttons up to a light so somebody can get me a drink.
