Default Newbie finally took pachiko plunge!

Wanted to introduce myself to the board. Hopefully by next week I should have my Star Wars pachinko, very much looking forward to it. As a SW fan and having a pretty decent gameroom w/o a pachinko it was a necessity lol. Never played pachinko before so do have some questions. I have two boys the oldest I am not worried about but my 3yr old may have extra fun with all the balls so to say. Thats assuming the lot of them are exposed. I thought I saw a sealed automatic launcher accesory? Would this work or is it not as great as it sounds. Of course I will cross the bridge when I have to but just trying to get my ducks in a row. I guess I have to see what pachislos are all about too.

Welcome trout! For what I've seen and read you're getting a top-notch machine.

Never heard of a sealed ball unit, but what do I know!

yor right second time buddy it dosent do what you think it dose in the bottom of a pachinko is a lost ball tray and in the top a hopper the ball lifter takes lost balls and puts them in the hopper for you the balls you shoot are put in a tray in the front of the machine and the balls you win are paid out to a tray in the front of the machine wich means putting it as polightly as poss you will still have exposed balls

i dont know about prices as i only realy watch uk prices but if there is any comparison we are paying £340 shipped on the subject of money a pachinko dosent take money its currency is the balls you play with ie you purchase the balls from a machine / kiosk in the parlor and you take back your won balls and exchange them for "prizes" as gambling is illigal in japan also the pachislo machines only take tokens looking at the advert though you could do with some more balls as the machine only comes with 400 and you will need about 1000 to play comfortably as when you hit the feaver round it will pay out hundreds and when the hopper runs out you get an error message and you have to stop playing and refill the hopper (bit of a pain ) but scan ebay for balls they come up a little more resnobal usually
as for the currency ect i have a video of a real pachinko parlor curtasy of aslew do a serch on the home page or pm me with your email address and i will send it it is worth waching and explains a little

$450 shipped is a great price on a star wars Pachinko if it is a full sized unit.

It did not say anything bout being compact at all I've been watching these auctions for the past couple of weeks. I don't know why but I'm just very leary of a guy in Japan with 34 feedback stating shipping $49 28-60 days a seller sent me an email noticing I bid on the slots usa one last week and had BIN listed so I grabbed it, now just have to wait very excited though I am sure I will have to make a cabinet or base of some sorts does the mod arby do that for anyone, I do have my own wood doctor just curious? I did think it was a fair price though

I am not sure I fully understand what you are asking but I would definitely recommend building or buying a cabinet rathar than just installing a base. If you do want to add a base you can buy 2 small pieces of wood and make feet for a few dollars.

Welcome to the forum! I thought about building a case for my Star Wars machine and the others but was always concerned with the heat issue. The boards do get warm on these machines and I believe heat, and computer boards do not go very well together. If you could build a case with this in mind it might not be so bad. Or if you won't use it much maybe it might be alright but mine gets a lot of use. But maybe I worry to much but it is a expensive investment.
