Default converting FROM quarters TO tokens

yes, thats correct. You all have gotten questions on how to convert tokens to quarters. I want to reverse it!!!! Uncle is relocating and has a pachi that is quarter in, quarter out. He is willing to let me have it since cousin is no longer at home but I don't wanna get busted with a quarter machine. Plus I have 1500 tokens to put in it when I get it. and 1500 quarters would be quite expensive!!! plus concidering my father is an arse and wouldn't hesitate hauling my but to jail if he can get it to take quarters...... Thats one of the things he does when I get a machine. Cops, go figure.

Each machine is coverted to quarters differently, some by the adjustments of certian screws and for my king camel its as easy as glue and a plastic tie (easily reversable) if you search the internet and some dealers sites, you will find how to unconvert your machine. Worse to worse you can always order a new coin reciver from a dealer and save all the hassle by just changing the whole coin mech. Due to the legal bits about the whole conversion of tokens to quarters no one will post on how to do it either way.

    Cheers,
    James

Most machines that have been converted to quarters still accept tokens. If you know what brand the machine is, we might be able to offer more insight as to what was done to convert it.

Ok this has been discussed before, we do not post how to convert TO quarters on the board. I know that you want to go the other way, but that is just like posting information that could be considered illegal in some states.
SO you best bet is to figure out which method was used to make it take quarters, find that conversion information elsewhere on the net, and do it backwards.
I am sorry, but any specific directions will be pulled.

This is my personal opinion, or of the voices in my head, and are not meant to reflect the opinion of this board.

Information is not illegal I am not sure why you would not post it.

Censorship has historically never been viewed favorably.

Laz you had to know when you put that up it was going to get yanked.

Monagjh, it's the position of this board that we do not further hurt our own hobby by supplying or being a part of or source for information that can be used to create an illegal machine. Enough state goverments are wanting to ban these wonderful devices without this site becomming a party to that end.

You can call it censorship all you like, it's not going to change the position of this board. Myself, David and the mods will if we see something relating to this subject, remove it without hesitation.

I am not sure how you can justify pulling information when you are republishing/distributing cartoons that are under license, ie Dilbert, Wizard of id etc. I would think those syndicated folks would be far more active protecting their intellecutal property rights than chasing down people who publish information that "might" make the machines illegal in some states if followed correctly.

You're treading on very thin ice bud. I pull down legal RSS feeds from a syndicated site and provide links to that site.

Now would you further like to stick your foot in your mouth?

Its your site, your rules, and its clear by the tone of your note that you wish to be the playground bully to that regard (hows that both feet at the same time). Irrespective I will respect your decree and not post links to otherwise freely available information.

This however is not a public site nor is it a government site. You may go outside your doors and scream this crap all you like. I'm sure your neighbors will stand and applaud you.

This site is not a right you were born with, it's a privilege that we extend. If you don't care for the rules of this site, don't come back.

Now in looking at it, you've called me a thief and a bully. I tell you what, I can see that you're no longer happy here. Have a nice life.

As the thread turns, and boy did it turn fast. There are very few rules here and converting from tokens to quarters is one. Most members have no problem with it. It's not like its some super secret information, you can find it if you look hard enough. Hopefully I speak for most members that we thank Tulsa for all the hard work he puts in and if he asks you not to put something on the board you have to respect it!!

Cheers and thanks for all the hard work you put into the board Tulsa,
    James

I agree 100 percent!!! The Admins here are working behind the scenes all the time. They put up with a lot from us and ask for very little. This subject comes up every so often and the Admins position is always the same...and they are the first to say the info is out there, go get it on your own. Thanks Tulsa and David and all the Moderators here. Your hard work IS appreciated.

It's odd though. The guy had almost 400 posts. You would think he would have figured this out already.

Well I didn't see at the time that it would get yanked because I was thinking helping him get it back to tokens. Now in retrospect I see that I was not thinking it through. If it was the other way around I would have been telling them to find your info some ware else!
If Tulsa really wanted to be a bully he would have deleted the guys posts about Tulsa. But then he knows we like people making fools of themselves!

What kills me is the fact that Monagjh was in on the last thread that discussed this. He knew the position of the board.
All I gotta say is Thanks for playin', Bu-bye!
