    Default Disney Pachislo?

Just wondering if one exists? I'm guessing no, since the licensing would probably be tough to get. But the Japanese love Disney so you'd think they'd want one.

Disney would kill their reputation if they licensed a gambling device. No there isn't now and I can't imagine ever going to be licensed Disney pachinko or pachislo.
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.

    Wait...pachislos only use TOKENS, right?

Yeah, that's what I thought...Disney would never give them the license. It'd have to be knock-off...like Marky and Winnie Mouse.

I wouldn't necessarily rule out the possibility since it is in a foreign country and attitudes toward gambling are much more relaxed in Japan than here (even though laws aren't). Disney has given their license out to many odd items in Japan and, in Disney Sea, it is OK to drink and smoke in certain areas - things that are all but forbidden in Disneyland.

With that said, I think it would take a minor miracle to get the license and the obtainee would have to be someone on the scale of Sankyo or Sammy.

Rupan has got a point there.. if atitudes are different and it makes enough $$$ even disney would sell its corporate soul to the devil so to speak...

I think someone in the Disney corporate office just woke up when you used "Disney", "making" and "$$$" in the same sentence.

It would be a nice machine though.

Disney has and DOES sell its soul for the $$$. Disney is a long, LONG way from being squeaky clean like they were early on.

    LOL...$130!!!!

That's almost a standard pachislo from Bigbear, including shipping! I'm sure if you slap a couple weights on the reels, it'd vibrate too...kill two birds with one stone.

With new at Disney management many things are a possibility. I thnk that if Disney were to allow a company to license their properties it would be much more likely to allow it for Pachinko than Pachislo. Secondly it would be outrageously expensive to the company wanting to aquire it.

The closest I've found would be MoJuoh/Animal King from Sammy. The irony is that Disney was sued for having ripped off MoJuoh precisely because of the similarities. I only bring it up because if you were looking for an almost identical Lion King look-alike, (and some folks on Ebay are selling a customized belly glass of Savanah Park, the predecessor to MoJuoh, also from Sammy, and calling it Lion King) MoJuoh might possibly fit the bill, since even though they beat the lawsuit, it appears to most people that Disney definitely ripped off the Japanese originators of MoJuoh (trans: fierce lion). (Show 100 people the graphics from MoJuoh and ask them what they're looking at, and see if 100 people don't say: "Lion King". The "only" problem is that MoJuoh existed BEFORE Lion King. How Disney ever beat that lawsuit is a mystery to me.)

Well, Mojuoh wasn't the only source for the Lion King; Osamu Tezuka's anime Jungle Taitei (The Jungle Emperor) was.

Whoa. My bad. Sorry about that. I figured when I saw the identical likeness of Lion King to MoJuoh that it had to be the source that Disney stole it from. So, according to what you said, which came first, MoJuoh or Jungle Taitei?

Jungle Taitei....by about 30 years. The series started in 1966.

There is some connection to Mojuou too but I think the later machines in the series (especially the pachinko machine) ripoff Lion King rather than vice versa.

Yeah it was Jungle Emperor Leo....I have the movie. There are so many similarities, it's ridiculous. If you recall, this also spawned the Japanese animated series Kimba the White Lion. Now THAT has a good chance of being put on a pachislo or pachinko.

Disney = boatloads of lawyers = beat any lawsuit by a small anime production company.
