Star Wars Pachinko Volume Control Knob.

Hey Guys!!
Just received my Star Wars Pachinko and loving it. I having a problem though. One of the volume knobs is messed up. I only get full blast sound on the left side. When I try to turn down the volume it cuts out totally. I need a new knob and was wondering where I might buy one? Not sure of the specs. I would appreciate it if someone can direct me to a place. Radio Shack?
I want to make sure I buy the right thing and not burn anything out.

I actually want to use the same type of knob I have on it already. It looks like the one below, the 2 volume knob. Can I use this knob? Do I need to buy 2 of these knobs to use together? Or can i just buy one and replace my bad knob?

You can just buy one if that's your preference. You're controlling the speakers individually.

Actually the speakers are independent from one another. So I can buy the one channel volume knob, right?

I had the same exact thing happen to mine. Arby put in two new volume knobs for me,the same ones the guys are talking about on this thread,they work very well with no cutting out. They are easy to put in too. You don't have to,but you really should replace both.

Hello everyone... I have a Sonic Pachinko that I have installed two resistors on the speakers to cut the volume, this worked great but there is a third speaker below the ball feed that I can not see. Is there any way to get to it?

open your shooters tray and you will have a way to it

The shooters tray can be opened by opening the front door glass and releasing the shooters tray latch -- usually it is on the right hand lower side below the playing field.

Thank you for the info... I had no idea that the shooter tray opened. It,s amazing all the electronics and guts inside. These machines are truly worth the price .

I have a similar problem than Pacman Pachink

I'm using one knob... I'm forced to turn it to the max, and I hear both channel, but volume is too loud
If I turn down the volume, there are some scratch noises, sound on only one channel, or no sound at all
The pot has a problem, because when I press on it, sometime the sound come back... I see a litlle spark inside the knob too
So, I'll go for a new pot. Can you just describe me what signal on each wires :



Yellow = ? ( top left on my picture )
Green = ? ( top right...)
Black = ? (down left... )
Red = ? ( down right )

What is the best option : one knob for each speakers, or one knob ( same than my broken one) for both speakers ?

My actual knob is a 10K Is it the right value ?

Do you have two speakers parallelled on one pot?

it looks like a 3 way pot that is only using 2 channels wich is both cahnnels controlled seperatly with one knob (ie when you look at the pic you have two lives going in and two feeds to the speakers coming out)

No, here's the thing, regarding this picture :

D E F


A - not used B- Yellow C- Grenn

D - not used E- Black F- Red

It looks like a 3 way pot', but of course there is only two speakers.


I presume B & E are one speaker, and C & F the other one ?

The actual spot is a 10K, but has a problem... WHat is the best option to replace it ? Using a 2 ways pot, or 2 x 1 way spot ? Which value for the new pot ?
