my wife won a machine on ebay....get this..... she paid for the machine w/paypal, and today the seller says it is on back order. Has this happened to anyone here before?

I dont kno the details yet, but i am pissed off at the seller

hi pool sorry to here of your plight maybe this might help if you pay through pay pal did you use your credit card if so use them and there insurance to throw yor wait around with the vendor it isnt fair or right to sell an item you dont have i had the same problem with a diferent vendor and item in the uk and after a few chosen words with the seller my item arrived within 2 days he must have eather being lying or sent someone elses item also inform ebay as to your complaint straight away as if you wait more than 30 days and still dont get a machine then ebay cant/wont help because of there complaints policys and proceadures

Like bidding on an auction in person, then when you pay the auctioneer says "your item is back-ordered" it will be shipped soon, you were just looking at a sample.....after they took your money!


Like f-ing mcdonalds at the drive thru.....pull up and wait for your order.....after they have your money!

I am not going to do anything rash before I know the whole situation.
I will try to be patient,... as to the extent that i can w/ paypal and ebay complaints (time limitations for them).
I don't want to ruin this sellers reputation before giving him a chance.
I appreciate this site to vent!

Here is my current status with 5stardeal:

1. No emails. I have to check on the status of each order to see if it shippped. <<<which doesn't bother me... just as long as I know that>>>

2. 1st order didn't have any tokens. But they put in a order for the 500, while I was talking to them on the phone. (10-Jan-2006) Also shipped 1st order 1 day after there Guarantee <sp> 1-2 day after paid. <not a big deal>

I went back to look at this and now even the stuff that I won under the guaranted 2 day shipping now states the following:
"""We ship Monday through Friday and your machine should leave our warehouse 24-48 hours after the auction """


Which is at the very least, more honest! <note --> should>


3. 2nd order UPS hasn't picked up yet??? this status has been there for 2 days. Though they were sent the pick up slip...


we'll see... I have 2 slots coming from them... and a few tokens that was not in my 1st order...(can't say for sure that they didn't send them... top of box was just taped over).....

I love ebay.... but the whole concept kills me at the same time.

People say they "Won" an item. Its brilliant. Almost as good as kids and pokemon "gotta catch them all". You technically "win" an item but its a purchase. More often than not that "win" could drive the price up close to being able to purchase the item new.

This has nothing to do with poolenglish's problem and I wish him the best of luck, it just got me thinking of the ebay concept.

MNbrad, When did you buy from them? I DO see auctions from the other vendor, but not from 5stardeal. eBay seller IDs would help a lot here, folks.

I am sorry you had that happen to you. Go onto Ebay and put a complaint in as it is against their (Ebay)rules to sell something that isn't in stock. I thought that meant no dropshipping also but apparently that is ok now.

I just had to leave a bad feedback( my first one I have ever left for a seller on Ebay) for a seller that I paid PayPal for some r rated Candid Camera TV SHow vcds. He denied receiving my PayPal payment even tho he confirmed receipt of payment + gave a ship date. Anyway to make a long story short he tried to get me to mail him a MO also! He never sent anything, refunded me and told me that if I had asked him nicely (after he saw that I wasn't a sucker) that he would have mailed the VCDs!! Nevertheless he now has a bad feedback from me and I expect a retaliatory feedback from him also.( I have had it being so da*n understanding with sellers)

I hope poolenglish that you will go after this dealer. It is time to put sellers in their place and make Ebay aware of these type of tactics.
