Anyway that is a bad reference...we are really pretty close to the line. I eat bagels with cream cheese. We do fried potatos and eggs, sausage, ham and bacon. We have a version of biscuits and gravy...but to a Southerner, I'm afraid it wouldn't cut the mustard.

Take a little flour and a little milk poured into a very seasoned iron skillet. Add some sausage drippings and sausage chunks, fry, then add flour and/or milk as necessary, fry some more till you reach the right consistancy. There you have southern fried gravy the way my Grandmother from Georgia always made it.

Made right, it shouldn't be white, it should be lightly brown.

Man, I can smell my mothers kitchen just thinking about it.
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.

Wow, what a great looking place, Dawn! Thanks for the picture of it!

I think you should start a chain of diners, and build the first one here. Lord knows Pine Bluff could use a good diner!

Temporarily, go to youtube.com and search for BudgeRahe for videos. Until I get the links set up in the museum

Thanks Tony...but that sounds like way to much work!!! We used to have another one about 15 minutes away, but we sold out our share a few years ago for just that reason. It may not look like a typical diner, but all the elements are there. There is a 30 foot long counter with stools for the coffee and pie folks and then we have 3 dining sections (1 is still smoking until PA gets around to banning it). My husband is there all the time and knows most of his customers by name...I usually stop in once or twice a day and socialize...and of course EAT! Our home is about 1 minute away so it couldn't be more convenient. We have our "regulars" during the day, and at night we get a lot of students from West Chester University. There is not much going on around here, so we don't mind the college kids hanging out. Sometimes they are in there playing cards or other games for hours. It really has a family run feel to it. I wish I could put some Pachis in there, but there is NO room. Every square inch has been utilized.

Thanks everyone for your nice comments.

Had the above in vegas for the first time. Now that's a really good breakfast and that gravy, that I really enjoyed. Still trying to figure out the grits thing though!!!
