thats what i was looking for remember wich way it gose on and then unscrew the copper catch and the barrel may slide out revealing what looks like the lock in arbys post and then you go about de pinning it the same way as arby descibed and then put it back the same way
My rice krispies told me to do it

Nope; took off the trip dog; it had no impact on the barrel. Good thought, though.

What I have done in the past to depin this kind of lock was to drill out the copper pins on both sides. After doing that you will be able to remove the top section from the bottom. Slide the little door down and all the little pins (and springs will come out. After reassembling the lock I used a screw to fill the hole that was caused by removing the copper pin. I then used my dremel to remove the top part of the screw.

Wow. You guys are very creative. Thanks for the input. As it currently stands, I sent an email to 5star.com stating that the most recent key they sent was close, but no cigar. They provided me with two options: 1. I could send them back the original lock and they'd try to find a key that worked. 2. They could send me a key/lock combo that worked.

    Hmmmmmmmmmm...lemme see......
    that's a tough one...
    uh......
    I don't wanna be hasty or anything.......
this one's really got me stumped...:s:...
wait.... I think I've got it......
    (much hand wringing and angst....)
    OK...number...
    (Drum roll, please.......Drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrum Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrol......)

I told em I'd send back all the wrong keys they've already sent just as soon as I get the proper key/lock combo.

There should be a hole in the bottom of the cabinet that you can reach in and move the latch on the locking bar.
