    Question replacement door key

I have a friend whose children lost the door key to his Big Wave pachislo by Yamasa. I tried to search the posts here, but couldn't find one on the best source of replacement keys. Direct Gaming has them at $10.00 plus $2.00 shipping. Does anyone else have a better source?

$10.00 bucks sounds very reasonable to me if you get the original key.question is do you have an original lock to go with it.......?

Well, I ordered the replacement key from Direct Gaming the day before yesterday. I got a call from Mark at Direct Gaming yesterday about the key. He told me that most of the locks on these machines are not original when they arrive in the containers from Japan. He asked me to send him the door lock so that he could match/cut a key to fit it. I told him the key was lost, and the door couldn't be opened to remove the lock. He told me that this particular machine, Big Wave from Yamasa, had a hole in the top right behind the front panel and the top latch could be accessed there to open the door, and then just 2 screws held the lock in place. I called my friend with the machine with this information, and sure enough, she got the door opened, removed the lock, and I am now sending it on to Direct Gaming for the new key. Thought this might be of interest to those with a Yamasa machine with a similar issue with the door key.

You can get in to open almost all machines from the back or bottom.

Look for the 2 levers that open the door and move one of them up or down by hand or long screwdriver.

I just got a call from Mark at DGI. He received the lock I sent and was able to match it to a key. He is sending them both back to me later today. If it isn't lost in the mail, this was pretty quick and relatively inexpensive. The charged $10.00 for the key and $2.00 postage, and I spent less than $3.00 to send them the lock. Total less than $15.00 to make a friend's machine totally usable again without drilling out and replacing the lock.

Got the door lock and key back in the mail from DGI on Friday the 13th. Who says it's bad luck? Gave the key and lock to my friends yesterday, and everything works fine. A happy ending for under $15.00!

That's why I love Gaku's machines, all the locks and keys are the same. One key opens all my Gaku machines.

Is this true? Does Gaku remove the pins or does he just replace the lock with ones that use the same key?

So, if I have a Gaku machine and one of his keys I can come over and rob you?

Also, does that mean that Slotter Jr. can get an extra key and take money out of my machines for his partying?

The King Camel converted to quarters is NOT a Gaku machine, but you can give it a try.

    Question Re: replacement door key

Both Neo Planet & Neo Magic keys broke... (2 days old) These are non Gaku units... Should I replace the locks? Does anyone know if Gaku will sell the lock or should I just remove and replace the pins???

    Thanks in advance.

Suppose you already have a key but would like a duplicate? The key for Giga Fever fits one of our Don Don Kings that is currently without a key (it got shipped sans key from 5-star deal.com and so far they haven't been able to figure out how to get us a key that works.) Is it possible to take the Giga Fever key somewhere locally and get a duplicate made?

Well, this is the key (the larger one is for the door, the other one is for the reset).I don't know if it qualifies as a security key or not. (It's not the round type, but I don't know if this key is viewed as a security one or not.)
