    Thanks, Jeeves.

Someone just asked me about this machine fairly recently; it was produced last year by Monako/Okumura. The name of the machine is actually not "Stellar", it's called "Monakist":

    http://www.monako.co.jp/products/2004/2004_10.html

The gameplay is a throwback to the "wing" type machines like Fine Play, Big Shooter, etc.

Thanks Rupan777, at first glance it looked older just by the playboard looks.

    Thanks for the info.

    Thanks rupan,
I lost a bid on this one but really like the looks. When you mean wing-like do you mean like apollo or penguin? do you have any translation or video on this one? Thanks.

A wing type machine is an older pre-LCD type of machine in which you shoot the ball into a pocket and it briefly opens a claw-like device to allow other balls in. If a ball which enters that area falls into a special zone, you win and the claw will open up for a set number of successive rounds. Basically, they are low-odds, low-winnings machines.

slotter has Super Fine Play which is also a wing-type machine so maybe he can chime in here.

Super Fine Play is a fun machine and there is a good review of it in the Museum that talks about the opening flipper action along with some pictures.

Apollo is not considered a wing type machine, it's called an "Arrepachi" (or Arranged Pachinko), sort of a mix of pachinko and other elements. With that said, wing machines are really fun to play.

I Purchased A Sankyo Stellar Machine Recently And I Am Looking For Some Where To Get Some Manuals For It. Oh By The Way, I Got The Machine For $10, Put Balls In It When It Arrived And It Plays Great. Need To Replace Some Lights But Other Than That It Is In Great Shape. I'm New, But Already Enjoy Some Of The Spoofing. Ted
