Lew, did you mean a small pinball machine that sits on a table top, or a cocktail table pinball machine like fhagar showed in post #16?

Actually he nailed it with that table top one. That's the size anyway. The ones I saw pics of before creation and after actually were using electronic scoring etc.

And this is from my own collection. Coke pinball machine from Franklin Mint. Little more than a toy though well made. Scoring is mechanical and no coin input.

What a beauty that is!! How does it play? Any videos available of it in action??

Yeah! That's what I meant when I said a "little Pachilander get together".

We just need to convince Arby to get a booth and fill it with some of his pachinko machines.

Can you imagine the BUCKS he would make with a load of STAR WARS Pachinkos available for immediate purchase? Unbelievable opportunity

The Coke pinball game is about 13 x 26 and 18" to the top of the coke sign.
It sits on a table, no legs of its own. It has lights, great sounds, pop up pockets and automatic scoring. The scoring is not digital, but roll over number wheels. The Coke sign also lights up. Lots of fun. Sorry, I'm not equipped for videos.

Thanks, fhagar. While I haven't been looking for this lately on eBay, every once in a while I used to see one there. I know I was outbid on one once.

So Lew, the one you recall seeing, was it similar to the Coke table top model, or the "The Entertainer" cocktail table model, but with digital scoring displays?

Yeah Arby, you should! I can help you with sales! There aren't many people outside Japan who know pachinko as well as the both of us put together.

I would also like to offer my services. I've only just got into this and know not a lot about Pachinkos/Pachislos, you'd have to pay for my air fare from the UK and accommodation costs and I wouldn't charge you a lot (maybe a few thousand), but I think it's really, really important that any team has some balance - Arby and Rupan on the one side answering all the technical questions and bringing their vast experience and passion to the table, me on the other hand being able to talk to the ill informed punters on the same level - surely a match made in heaven? Who am I trying to kid?!?? I can bring the pink fairy if you like and might make coffee, if you ask very nicely. Surely that's a sale pitch no-one can resist.

While we are on the subject does anyone know of any high quality pinballs that are being made in a smaller size like a card table top size. I kinda remember one being made by a hobbyist awhile back and I am wondering if that project ever got going? This would not be any of those that are made of plastic but rather it should have a solid wood frame etc.

Mike thanks for letting me know about this convention as I will be there and probably my son and a few other friends of ours are planning this one. The room rates are not bad that are quoted on the info form but as Mike found out they aren't taking the reservations until next year.

That's a good offer. Be sure to rent a UHaul so he can bring all those great new Pachinkos and maybe a few Pachislos also

I thought I would mention that before I left for Christmas vacation, I was able to reserve a King room @ The Plaza Hotel where this is being held @ 31.00 the first night and 61.00/night for the Friday and Sat nights. You are able to request non-smoking but there is no guarantee. I did all this on their 1-800 number and with my charge card.

For anyone interested in pinball machines, there will be a huge pinball show in Las Vegas, next July 28, 29, and 30. Ten thousand square feet of games and dealer booths in the Main Ballroom of the Union Plaza Hotel. All pinball machines will be set on free play. Begins July 28, at 9:00a.m. and goes non-stop to 4:00p.m. on July 30.

azlew and I plan to attend, anyone else? Maybe a little Pachilander get together?
