    Default Belly Light no good

Another newby here . Was wondering where to buy a replacement florescent transformer/Ballast (for belly light),it keeps blowing the circuit breaker when the assembly is plugged in. It is a "Mr Magic"
If anyone knows why it does this please let me know.
Really is a great site here with a lot of knowlegable people . Happy holidays to all , Ron

if you bought it from one of the better vendors, they should replace it under warrenty.

First off, welcome to PachiTalk, ron123!

Second, which vendor did you buy this machine from, or was it an individule?

If a vendor, contact them and they should replace defective parts. An individule, I don't know.

No warranty , it was bought at an auction. Everything works great (takes quarters). I just wanted to get it 100% right .

I found a picture of Mr. Magic, but I still can't tell what brand it is. It doesn't appear to be a common Sammy or Yamasa machine. You'll probably need to get in touch with one of the major vendors that's been in business for a while, or buy a compact flourescent fixture at the hardware store and steal parts from it to wire around the original parts in the machine.

Mister Magic is a product of Sammy and Rodeo.

Can you post a picture of the belly with the front panel off and the inside of the door wherever the wiring traces back to? I've got a Sammy machine for parts, I might have what you need, if they're not different generations of machines.

My inital reaction is that it doesn't look anything like the Sammy machine I have at home for parts (or any other Sammy machine I've ever seen for that matter), but I'll report back this eveneing when I'm at home to take a look.

My Sammy parts machine has a smaller ballast housed in about the same location, but in a clear plastic box and the connections aren't similar. For that matter, my Sammy part machine uses the small flouescent tubes about 5/16" in diameter in the belly. Looks like it's a different animal than what you've got.
