    Default TA E*Bay Experience - December 2005

Before I forget I wanted to let everyone know about the experience I had with TexasAuction. I bought two machines from them using the 'Buy It Now' function.

First, they shipped the machines darn near instantly. I mean lightning fast. Both machines were packed wonderfully. Heavily crated, heavy foam, no damage at all.

They do put feet on the machine and while for some people this is helpful, I hated it. They use a bunch of long staples to attach them and it is a bear to get those off. I have mine hung in wall cabinets so I had to do a lot of work to get those darn feet off.

Both machines were in wonderful condition. I used a little Novus to finish the polish job but they were clean as a whistle as it was. Both units work perfectly fine.

I would not hesitate to buy from TA again. It was a wonderful experience and their customer service when I had questions, etc via e-mail was second to none. I was thoroughly impressed.

    HTH!

I don;t have a pachinko yet, but when I get one I want to mount it exactly this way. How do you mount the cabinet to the wall? And how do you mount the pachinko to the cabinet?

    Thanks.

There are braces across the back of the cabinet that have holes predrilled 16" from one another (to line up with studs in your walls). With four long screws (included) it's not going anywhere. There are also four predrilled holes in the sides of the cabinet that you attach the pachinko frame to. This ensures the machine stays put.

It's an easy, elegant way to display and play your pachinko machines. I highly recommend these cabinets!

The cabinets are great. Very well thought out and they even come with the hardware to mount them, a nice extra touch.

I like the option of moving mine around and prefer the feet to the cabinet. Nothing wrong at all with the cabinet if you're sure where you want to mount it.

Has TA gone to "buy it now" only?

Nice cabinets too. Actually I have many that have no feet & no cabinet. They are leaning against each other like drunken sailors just in from the sea all over hell...

Have they gone back to buy it now. They used to run all their auctions with a bid price 5 cents below their buy it now price.

I have the exact thunderbird and waiting to receive the exact black cabinet like that from gameroom cabinets. How did you actually get the legs out. I also had TA sell them that way. What a pain is right!!!. Love the cabinets look. Was it simple to hang on wall?

Getting the legs off was a case of using a hammer and screwdriver along with a lot of prying and pounding. Literally. It took a while but I got them off. Hanging the cabinets was a piece of cake. Fiind the studs, hang the cabinet.

I find that if I place the machine on it's back and give the leg a good whack with a hammer, it comes right off. If you find screws, use a screw driver!

    Hey Tulsa,
Are your machines as-is on the legs provided, or did you mount them in table top cabinets?

I used Dr.Dark's hard-hammer-whack method. Then, if some of the staples pulled through the wood (and they will) just pop the staples out with a screwdriver.
