Yahoo Japan auctions a good place to look?

Given that several people offer middleman services for YJ auctions and that I don't know the history of what you guys have managed to pick up over the years - is Yahoo Japan a good place for pachinko supplies/machines?

On the one hand I would have thought so given the strength of the hobby over there. Simple availability would make me think prices in general would be much lower and much more would be on offer. The flipside of that is that shipping costs are going to be very high.

How has Yahoo Japan worked out for the regulars here?

Popular machines and goodies go for high prices there too!!!!!

Some interesting machines can be had for inexpensive prices over there but the shipping is the biggy. It's an average of $360 to ship a machine here.

However, if you have a machine with a popular case here already (say a Sankyo Star Wars in the Lumina case) there are several cels ( the playfield and electronics) that will fit in that case.

The prices look cheap but remember shipping in Japan, commissions and shipping to the US.
Interchange is only a matter of minutes when after you've done it a few times. You can ship (based on the weight) 2 cels for the same or less price.
