Default Mounting/Stand Height of a Pachi?

I have a few machines now and need to know the recommended height that is comfortable for play. I purchased a wall mounted pachinko cabinet and mounted the bottom frame 30 inches from the floor. Now the pachinko machine base is about 36 inches from the floor but the sitting is 30 inch bar stools. It's pretty comforable but it seems many go around 28 inches or so. I realize it's a taste issue as to what you like but input is nice. As long as the playing field is directly in front there should be no dispute correct? Of course loading the balls is a task because it's a little higher then expected.

I know this is low, but in the parlors, the seat is 18" and the base of the machine is 24" (measured from the floor). A 6" difference between the seat and machine is very comfortable.

Yes, very comfortable but you have to consider the 6" difference includes the shelf unit to hold the ball box and also give fairly comfortable amount of leg room (not enough for tall people though).

A somewhat better approach is to have the machine so the center feature is directly in front of you - more or less at eye level - and that your hand is at a comfortable position to be at for a long time on the shooter knob

Good point, I would think of it this way:

LCD should be about half an inch above your normal line of sight. Handle should be just a little lower than the armrest on an average chair.

I mount my cabinets at 29" and that allows my 29" bar stools to fit under the cabinet. Also, the height is then just about right for the playing field when sitting on the stool.

Mine are 28 and 1/2" and the idea comes straight from slotter's pics.

I love those stools. Super easy to put together and they are built well. I got a great deal where Overstock had 15% off all prices and shipping was one penny so I wound up with a great deal. Great stools for the money so far .

Did you buy or make those cabinets? They look great. I am hoping to get a pachinko for our rec room this Christmas.

For those 'Parlor Purists' out there (Link expires 12/9):

Gives you an idea of parlor chair height. If only they weren't so expensive to ship!

I mount my pachinko machines at a height that allows me to look into the center of the LCD when I am standing. I can then adjust the height of my chair to place me at the same spot when I am sitting.

    Excellent DrDark !

That's the way I will be doing mine also. No one wants to be stuck having to sit in one position or stand only in the same position. Your idea is the best one yet

I'm 5'10 and the machines' play areas are just about right sitting or standing. And, even for people taller up to 6'1" and even more, they are still close enough that they are very comfortable to play both sitting and standing.

Those cabinets you guys have look fantastic. Are there places these are available?

Just curious about the workings (please be gentle, I'm new!) - with the way the machines are, would these have to be cyclic machines because it wouldn't be easy to get the balls from the back?

Here's some pics of a nice cabinet I saw on YJA:

I know they're Pachislo, but they're the same size. Might give some ideas.
Has a switch in the center post to turn them on.
