That was so impressive that I had to dig deeper.

Many think that's a fake, but it's real.

This display was the work of Carson Williams of Mason, Ohio, who spent about three hours sequencing the 88 Light-O-Rama channels that control the 16,000 Christmas lights in his 2004 holiday lighting spectacular. The musical accompaniment is broadcast over a low-power radio station so that it is only audible to visitors tuned in to the correct frquency and doesn't disturb the neighbors.

Want to hear an interview with the guy that did this, and specifics on how he did it?
    Right here:

And for those of you who want to "do it yourself"... (you geeks know who you are!), here's the instructions!

    Man, those videos are incredible.

The best I have from the land of the rising sun is the Millenario (no video, just pic) just after Christmas. If I remember the story, it was first started by an Italian architect (don't remember name) as a gift to raise spirits in Kobe after their tragic earthquake ten years ago and a version of it was transported over to Tokyo.

I walked through it with my girlfriend (and about three thousand other people - we actually had to wait in line to walk through it!) last year and it was incredible.

    Here's a picture:

Here's a page that has more videos... from the WonderlandChristmas site that I posted above. I have to download these to get them to play, but they are pretty cool, too.

Woohoo! Off that darn satellite and on a normal high speed connection in the hotel here I can see these files. Will need to go back and see Tony Jr.'s uploads now.

I like that idea. I wonder if we did more of that if it would cause too much traffic overall?

Thanks for showing that that can be done. It really does show the potential of the great pachitalk.com.
