    Default Anime themed pachinko machines

Hello, I'm new to pachitalk, and hopefully will be buying my first pachinko machine before too long.

I've been nosing around here and on ebay, trying to get a feel for things.

Being an anime fan leans me towards machines with anime themes. I'm not tied to anime themed pachinko, but I'm just starting with what I know.

I was kindof wondering how often you see the following machines up for sale?

The Star Person And Others 1 by Monako 2001
The Star Person And Others 2 by Monako 2004
CR New Century I ZF (Neon Genesis Evangelion) by Bisty Daido 2004
    Dirty Pair by Fugi 2002
CR Cutie honey by Mizuho 2005
    Lupin III by Heiwa 2002

I'd especially like to get "The Star Person And Others" (Urusei Yatsura) machines if I ever find them... and the price doesn't break the bank.

Dirty Pair was even hard to find in the parlors in Japan. I got a mint from one machine though

They're doing better now, but a few years ago, Fuji didn't have very good distribution for some reason. Plus Dirty Pair is not really a major anime = less branding.

All the time I've spent searching on YJA, I've only seen one Dirty Pair machine and it went pretty high.

Why don't they make a Burn Up Excess machine?

They're a group of specially selected police officers (4 girls, 1 guy +female boss) that handle tough cases outside the law.

Rio- High maintenance, lives one paycheck to another.
Don't remember exactly the specifics of the others
    Maya
    Nanvel
    Lilica
There was at least a reference to Pachinko in one of the episodes. The rest of the team was looking for Rio and the boss said " ok, we're looking for entertainment that cost less than 10$" (she's normally broke). The next scene is her in a parlor, then karaoke, then soba shop.

I'm not the best one to ask about anime but my guess is it's either 1) not popular enough to warrant licensing or 2) in the works.

To note, a lot of anime has appeal to the deeper "otaku" crowd and anime-based pachinko tends to have a wider appeal - using myself as a reference (because I don't care for anime), I have heard of about 95% of the anime/manga that machines are based on - Urusei Yatsuri, Gundam, Tensai Bakabon, etc. which mean they must be popular enough for the average Japanese to know.

The newer one trumps the older one (already a good machine) in every way possible, much more exciting and involving game. In fact, not trying to step on toes here, it runs on the same ROM as LoTR and Star Wars and manages to beat both just on gameplay alone. I rate SB2 as being one of the best machines released in the past five years. and that ain't the booze talkin'...
