    Default Vendor Polling System

Hey Guys, what do you think about having a Polling System
    for the Pachi Vendors ?

perhaps with pros & cons of each vendor!!
would help people make more informatvie decisions
when purchasing from specific vendors, not that the two bigest that
I've dealth with are not a #1, just both slightly different in some ways.

I believe this would be not only a benefit to the users but a benefit
    to the dealers themselves.

shout it out guys, whatda you think ?

Temporarily, go to youtube.com and search for BudgeRahe for videos. Until I get the links set up in the museum

I think there can be to many variables. Some people have good or great dealing with a vendor and another may get so-so out of their experience. Sometimes can be the luck of the draw. I think people may have a hard time posting a bad or so-so experience if a lot of others are praising them. Would others believe someones less that praiseworthy review if others are saying great things? I would prefer to stick to the fun of this hobby we enjoy and not make someone feel like a complainer if the have a bad experience with a vendor that others may love.
    and a few others.

i think its a good idea but i also think we already know who the good vendors are (Milt, Gaku) and who the bad are.

Hmmm, yeah now that I'm thinking about, we do have several VIP vendors here who log in fairly often so that might end up skewing opinions and/or hurting relationships that don't need to be. I think if this were a fully private board, it would be a good idea as I mod on a specialty board in which we have a vendor rating system.

Of course, what do I know? I've never had the experience from buying from any vendor.

Some of the nicest machines I have are from vendors that others have said negative things about and I was very happy with them.

    Hmm....

After more though I still think its a good idea, but had some
time to flesh it out more, and I was'nt necessarly talking about
an actual rating since this could be skewed:

how about more like PROS / CONS
maybe a bunch of categories such as:

    1. Packaging
    2. machine appearance
    3. extras (such as corded keychains w/ eye hooks on the back
    covered ashtrays etc..)
    4. support
    5. warantee
    6. amount of tokens
    7. amount of bulbs

sort of like a comnparison type thing, as mentioned i think it
will help both the custs and vendrs

    thnx for listening
    Bill

Wouldn't it have the same pros and cons as the the ebay feedback system?

    ssdcinc :

If you are interested in getting this out as a suggestion to the powers to be here, you might want to post it in the suggestion area.

There is also a polling option here that you can poll members on specific things. If you word it right it might in a round about way do what you are wanting.

My opinion on this is that dealers have their good days and their bad days. You will hear about them here just by reading members posts about their good and bad experiences.

BUT : I do like your idea of a comparison chart of shipping charges and accessaries like #of tokens, balls etc. That could be interesting to see.

I think the comparison chart would be good. Things like shipping charges, number of tokens or balls included, volume controls, etc.. That way it keeps emotion out and only deals with facts.
    and a few others.

What are we anticipating as the end result?

We know certain things, Gaku, Milt, Eric, Syscom and Chris all deliver on the machines they promise and back them up if necessary.

    Others at best a speculative.

This information we already know. It's been verified more than often. So I'm not sure what new you're expecting to bring out.

Give me a bit of time and I will put something together
to show what i have in mind.

One thing about it is it would put information in one location to
make it easier for people to see.

but i'll work on a sample chart of what i have in mind.
    thnx for listening

Hey, I'm all in favor of a great new hack idea. Anything that will benefit the general population of PachiTalk is something I'm in favor of. Reduncdancy is what I'm trying to avoid.

I have to agree. If you are looking for the current and past good , bad and ugly's = you will get it here by just searching around pachitalk messages.

But the comparison chart for shipping charges, #of tokens or balls, length of warranty,# of bulbs included and other extras sounds very interesting and could be of great use to the newbies and some of us "ol' wise ones "

ssdcinc : that's not too bad of an idea. Plus you indicating you are willing to set it up and run it and keep it up to date is a nice gesture
