That's correct, pachislo uses tokens instead. You should check out some of the play guides on the Big Bear site (click on a machine name if available then "play guide") as the titles all play somewhat uniquely different, like pachinko.

Each reel has a stop button. You must stop the reels by yourself. With some skill you can stop them on combinations that pay out or lead to bonus rounds.

This does sound better than Vegas slots. Perhapes I should buy a cheap one just to see how it works. I'm ready for a new toy anyway!

Check out the Pachislo section of this forum. There are a lot of good recommendations for first machines there! They are quite different than Vegas slots.

You can try downloading a simulation (for example, this one of Yamasa's Matsuri no Tatsujin, you have to click the yellow button or wait for the Java applet to open up) and see if it's to your liking. The data and odds are definitely not accurate to a real machine but it gives you a sample of how the machines play.

Hey Harley is on sale for $1980!

They have a Scratch and Dent section I see now too. Guess I hadn't been to their site in a while! No Pachinko's in the S&D section though.

A correction on this, the number the units are set for is their "address" in the parlor system network, not their dispense rate.
